During the wedding, Father Kelley comes to the part where he must ask, "If any person present knows of a reason this man and woman should not be joined in holy matrimony, let him speak now or forever hold his peace." Kate and Sami exchange glances and then EJ walks into the church and winks at Sami. Sami stares at Lucas.
Another Piece Of The Puzzle
Hope visits Willow in jail. Willow asks Hope to drop the charges against her since she is the mother of Shawn's baby but Hope tells her she can't do that. She doesn't want the baby born in jail or taken by Child Protective Services; she says but has another option for Willow, "Sign over your parental rights to Bo and me." She says. Willow doesn’t like that idea at all and accuses Hope of being no better than Philip! Hope tells her that she'll still have a place in her child's life, but Willow thinks that her concern is phony and tells her to leave. Hope threatens to go to the court to petition for full custody, much to Willow's chagrin, and goes on to ask if she truly wants a better life for her child than what she had. Willow agrees she does, and Hope points out that there is no other way to ensure that.
Hope visits Maggie at Chez Rouge and explains she visited Willow today and relays their conversation. Maggie feels for Hope and thinks Willow is just trying to work her nerves. She warns Hope not to let Willow manipulate her.
Once Hope is gone from the jail, Willow calls Nick and gives him a cryptic message. "I need you to come see me today. It's a matter of life and death!" she says.
An awful fright!
Hope and Shawn continue to talk on the phone and Shawn sighs when he hears Hope's 'Philip' theory and agrees. "The baby must be mine." He tells her he can't do anything right and goes on about how he married Mimi when he was in love with Belle, how he shacked up with a hooker and is now running from Philip. Just then, Bo runs inside and grabs the phone from Hope to warn Shawn to get off the island NOW, because Philip is on his way there! Belle hears this and appears visibly concerned. Shawn tells Bo that he'll take care of it himself and that he'll contact them soon. After they hang up, Hope asks Bo what Billie said and he relays that Philip went out of the country. Hope blames herself for telling Marlena where the kids were but Bo flat out tells her she's not to blame. Hope says that Willow may have a maternal bone in her body, since she used only a small amount of money for the baby and she once paid for her brother's college tuition. Hope asks Bo how he'd feel if she had Willow signed over her parental rights to the baby. He says he likes the idea but reminds her that Willow is dangerous. She grins and says she's dangerous too!
Belle and Shawn make love!
At Hope and Bo's house, Hope plays with Ciara while Marlena visits. Hope relays that Bo isn’t around tonight, that he's investigating a fire at an abandoned cabin. She says that they found EJ Wells car in front of the cabin and are looking for a body. The two ladies wonder if it's arson or not and then Marlena tells her she has news about the kids. Hope drags Marlena out to the porch and tells her that they think the house is being bugged so must discuss private things outside! Marlena thinks that they're being smart about it and tells her she heard from Belle and that she and Shawn are on an island called 'Tinda Lau'! The words are barely out of her mouth when they hear a noise coming from the house. Hope dashes in to get Ciara, hands her to Marlena, and grabs her gun from the desk. She demands that whoever is upstairs show themselves. A man walks down the stairs and it turns out he's Inspector Ellicott, who has been clearing their house for bugs and security cameras at Bo's request. Hope feels silly and apologizes to him. She explains that she forgot about him coming over and asks him to continue. He asks her if she has ever considered a job in law enforcement and she grins and says she has!
Back at Bo and Hope's house, Inspector Ellicott shows the family the bugs and cameras that have been used by whoever is watching their house. They assume it was EJ, because the security system was Billie's system! Ellicott leaves and Marlena tells Bo the name of the island that the kids are on and gives him the address. Bo says he'll book a flight. Marlena asks Kayla if she can somehow help her get to Steve but Kayla sadly tells her it's no use. Bo tells the ladies that Kayla wants to get checked into the hospital so she can help get Steve back. Kayla and Marlena leave and Bo tells Hope he will spend every waking moment trying to help Steve and Kay, Shawn and will try to put EJ Wells behind bars. They kiss.
Philip sits at his office and looks through tapes of Bo and Hope's house. There was a camera set up just outside on the porch, and he sees Marlena telling Hope that the kids are in Tinda Lau! "Bingo!" he says. He leaves for Tinda Lau.
The punk in a $2000 suit!
Hope visits Kayla before she leaves the hospital and they fawn over a bouquet of flowers as EJ waltzes in and admits to sending them. The girls gang up on him and blast him for all of his wrong doings but of course he doesn't admit to them. Kayla tells him she thinks that the 'accident' was caused by him and says "I'm not going to stop until I put you away for the rest of your miserable life." EJ feels ganged up on but the ladies don't care. They continue to badger him. EJ asks Hope how John's doing and pokes fun of his condition. Hope calls him sick and starts hitting him, but EJ's too quick for her and holds her back. He goads her more by bringing up Shawn. Hope seethes and tells him not to mention her son's name again. EJ tells her that he grew fond of Shawn but Hope stops him and refuses to discuss Shawn with him. The girls run him out of the room and once he's gone, Hope turns to Kayla and tells her she's certain that EJ must knows that Roman and Bo want Shawn to testify against him [EJ]. The ladies wonder how he could possibly have found that out and they worry that they can't warn Shawn about him. Hope tells Kayla that if Patrick turned state evidence against EJ and Shawn helps, they think EJ could end up in jail. Hope runs out to tell Bo after Kayla tells her that 'Pop' is picking her up.
Steve gets a visit from Bo and Steve thanks Officer Mitch for standing guard over him all night before he leaves. Bo reveals that he knows Steve made a little trip outside last night and wants to know where he went. Steve doesn't admit to anything. Bo shows him the lye soap and tells him that it's well known that it can bring up a temperature 3 or 4 degrees. "The soap was found in the ambulance," he tells Steve and says that the state mental hospital uses the same soap! Steve retorts, "No wonder the food doesn't taste any good." Bo ignores him and says he knows that he used it to get to the hospital and asks where he was all night. Steve admits they do use the soap at the hospital and that he needed it to get to the hospital to ensure that Kayla was okay. Bo admits that Kayla already told him that she saw Steve last night but Steve still doesn't open up. Bo becomes increasingly frustrated and then notices Steve's fist is raw. He considers that it must be from hitting EJ. Steve retorts that if he hit EJ, he is sure EJ would have spilled the beans by now. Through clenched teeth, Bo tells Steve, "You're not crazy, you're just stupid. Don't you know that EJ wants you inside the state mental hospital so he can get to you whenever he wants to use you?" Steve repeats that he has no idea of who clocked EJ and then Bo tells him that he went through an awful lot of trouble for a woman he doesn’t love. He begs Steve to help him out. Steve keeps quiet and Bo tells him that EJ may come after him …. Or worse, he may come after someone they both love for that cheap shot he gave EJ last night. This gets Steve's attention but he says he'll be ready for it when Wells comes after him. The two are interrupted by Hope who needs to talk to Bo. The two leave Steve alone and go outside in the hallway to talk.
Hope relays the conversation she had with EJ and knows that EJ is on to them about their plans for getting Shawn involved in turning state's evidence against Wells. They leave for home and once at home, Bo tells Hope that a couple of electricians were at the house previously. Hope looks startled and tells him they didn't hire any electricians. He nods and says that something is going on. They go inside and start searching the house.
(Meanwhile EJ is watching from Sami's place)
EJ bumps into Will in the hallway of the apartment. Will is off to school but EJ stops him and offers Will a few hundred dollars to help him hook up the VGA converter. Will agrees to do it if they're quick. They go into Will's place and Will teaches EJ how to connect the cables while EJ takes notes in order to install it at his own home later. Will tries to help and asks for EJ's cell phone but EJ begs off and admits that the content is adult in nature. Will comments to EJ, "My dad was right. You are a sick perv!" Will takes a call from Lucas out into the hallway while EJ sets up the security system. He claps his hands in glee as he sees Hope and Bo talking at their house.
