Sorry I have to disagree with this but the one question fans get asked is What do you watch daytime soaps for! And for some they watch for a character that they identify with and that character(s) for me was and is Peter Reckell's Bo Brady and the deep feelings that he has always had for Hope! Bope is my reason for watching and with one half gone why watch! I watched when they came on I didn't watch when they left, and I didn't watch when Kristian left and they changed Bo! This is how I feel. Peter Reckell has been loyal to the show and comitted to the ooc writing because he felt it would get better. Hell we all hoped it would get better but all we see is tptb diminish the characters into obscurity! Why be loyal to a show that doesn't give you what you want!

Quote allmylovingdays: I just had to come here and applaud both yesterday on being supportive to Abe. I loved how Bo was able to comfort his friends Abe saying all the right things and telling him how Theo knew before anyone else. Hope can she grieve with the kings and queens out there her emotions the tears and trying to be there for Abe calling everyone this may have not been what Bope fans wanted but the actors shined in the supporting roles given and I can't believe that this story of Lexie's death could have been written without them being an intergral part right now.

I have a thread about what the network needs to do...and I wish one of you all would tweet Peter this -NBC Universal owns so many networks I looked it up this morning and I was astonished at how many -why why why can't the network give as an incentive to these actors leads at least to some of these other networks they own with many caliber primetime shows that anyone of the actors could easily work in and shine.

below is the networks and some of the titles of only a few of the shows that I could think of

DID YOU ALL KNOW DALLAS IS Under this umbrella the new Dallas.

Burn Notice, Dallas, Blue Collar, Southland, Rizzoli & Isle, Royal Pains, Covert Affairs, Psych, The Closer, Franklin & Bash, Fairly Legal, MadMen, Breaking Bad, The Killers, American Horror Story and those other shows that are regular nbc -30Rock, Smash, Parenthood, Grimm-but that’s just a drop in the hat and if they offered them that little perk to get on one of those many shows during primetime it would be an incentive to stay in my opinion or if they networked they could end up branching out. So instead of losing some of the great actors we have and losing the soap altogether why can’t NBC be a bit more generous with actors and our show. I want the writing to be top notch all the time. I couldn’t believe it that Dallas is own by Universal so they do know that serial dramas soapy goodness is still a big draw. I hope seeing that Dallas brought in ratings they realize that DAYS still has the potential to be great.

It does and thanks - time to get the speculation over with! As to his comment about "moving people aside" back when it was him versus "moving him aside" for them NOW is a WORLD of difference. The hard truth is when he was in that position along with Kristian they were actually helping/strengthening the show taking it to the top during that period and keeping it in the higher tier of the ratings for YEARS & YEARS! Now, the ones "moving people aside" are not characters/couples who're bringing those results - the show has been on the bottom for YEARS and not climbing out! That's just the facts! Either tptb, the network execs, or whoever makes these choices doesn't see that or simply don't CARE to see it! They've wasted Bo and Bope for the several years - at least a decade or longer while they're still hot & capable - they're anything but dried up and OLD! They just refused to utilize them & feature them and it's hurt the show! I love Kristian/Hope and will support her, but the heart & soul of DAYS (Bope) will be missing and I doubt seriously if the show survives long enough to see her in another good love story - gotta get over Bo first and that is NOT going to happen any time soon - they were simply TOO special for that - or be around for him to return later! I KNOW I won't be following Peter to those computer/website soaps - what a letdown and setback that would be! Anyway, this is sad but we'll move on and see what they give Kristian - hope it'll be quality since she chose to stay because that's LONG overdue!
