The facts are DAYS IS on the bottom of the ratings - only 4 daytime soaps left and they exchange to bottom spot occasionally now with GH. They're not close to Y&R and B&B not because those shows are so much better but they're established and, imo, stay true the show's history & the history of the characters. This is just what happened so it leaves a LOT of room to think back and see when the troubles began & why they're not getting better. The show used to give me pleasure, too, LOTS of it in the years of quality, exciting, romantic adventure but it's not that way now - don't even recognize or connect to the majority of the cast now and it's sad tptb have wasted great actors/couples like they have. I'll watch a while because of Kristian and my loyalty & appreciation of her staying, but there's truthfully not one other thing going on the show that pulls me there anymore and it's because the writers & execs. just don't listen. The show MAY survive this hit but if Peter has any thoughts of returning or them having him return I'd think it would have to be an EARLY return. Just my humble opinion!!

Just what we need, another talk show, reality show, news show....these shows are cheap.
Fans want fantasy and escape.....

for lame shows the chew and revolution and that show was canceled SMART MOVE ABC I feel sorry for the people who enjoy what's happening in this generation we are losing our
soaps to lame shows and the producers are proud of this ?

I hardly watch anymore but stay in touch with those who do so i get updates and spoilers that way. Why should i torture myself for the sake of the ratings. I tried and couldnt do it, i'd get too pissed off watching my favorite character's act like someone they aren't. Where is the love and romance which used to take place. Being able to let my soap take me away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life is no more.

As I said I plan to watch the show to see Kristian a while after Peter leaves to see how they treat her character and whether she's given quality material or remains beautiful window dressing as she's been for YEARS now except for the promising but dropped "reboot". I've stayed with DAYS many miserable recent years because I'd come to love it over the years and it became an interesting, exciting, relaxing time of day for me - I looked forward to it when it was quality and I could enjoy many of the characters & sl's. The last writing team butchered them and their love story - thousands of fans left and I understand exactly why - I chose to stay & see them brought back to their full potential - still hasn't happened fully to their characters & love story but, admittedly, much better although anything would beat his out-of-character affair! Anyway, I've written, tweeted, emailed, etc. like so many others with suggestions to bring this show back and it continues to run in "boring", unrecognizable place. THEY have detached me from the show - I didn't do that!! I feel I owe something to Kristian for staying on but NOTHING to a show that couldn't care less about what so many feel (and the fans they DO accommodate are certainly not helping the ratings). So, it's not MY fault and won't be my fault if the show gets cancelled. It's the fault of tptb on the show & NBC! Without quality story writing and featuring the characters the majority of the audience relates to this show isn't worth this time slot as far as I'm concerned and there've been multitudes of opportunities to correct this ongoing problem which they've made no effort to do! I don't care to see any more talk shows either, but if Kristian doesn't get anything more worthy than she's been getting (although I really can't see DAYS being interesting without Bope - their all-time best who they wasted & pushed aside) I'll, personally, just not be tuning in to daytime TV anymore except for an occasional movie! That's just my choice!
