All I've heard is that lexi is dying and she will be gone for good this time. I also hear she may be a ghost "Please No" I saw in an article that Renee Jones said that yes Lexi is gone for good but wouldn't it be awesome if there was never a shooter and Lexi and Stephano came up with this idea to stage a murder so her daddy could leave town and not have to deal with Salem for at least now. Will seems to be accused of the murder but Lexi being the nice soul she is and her father will find a way to prove that he didn't do it with their fingerprints not even being involved. In turn with Lexi not knowing her daddy schemes to make it look like she died and takes her body and have one of his doctors perform Brain surgery on her which in Lexis last moments we see her eyes open. So if Renee Jones comes back she can still be lexi in body but someone entirely new cause her daddy altered her brain. "Hence Lexi is gone for good." Renee Jones said the storyline is a secret but amazing.

After it was announced that Rene Jones was leaving. T.V. Guide ran an article in which she said that there would be no doubt that Lexi was dead. She said it was a secret why but we would know for sure.

PLEASE this story has already dragged on too long. I'm anxious for her to be 6 feet under with cement on top.

Sad to see Renee Jones exiting Days. Will miss the character Lexie Carver.

Lexi has been good and bad, a police officer and a jack of all trades doctor. She has been a loving mother, daughter, sister, friend, wife, and adulteress. Through it all, she's been intriguing, endearing, and so well-played. Great job, Renee Jones! You will be sorely missed!

Does anyone else think that Lexi's illness and death were kind of.....sugar-coated? (as in, not realistic?) Maybe they didn't want to depress people with how bad cancer actually is, but IMO, during the course of her illness, she looked/acted/seemed as if she had nothing worse than a bad case of the flu.

I kept watching yesterday's show thinking, "Does this really look/act like a person who's going to be dead in a few minutes, from cancer?"

Oh well, it IS soap-land...where reality is suspended. Why am I surprised??

I thought that scene was just beautiful. She was so peaceful. And when Abe was calling for her and crying out, my heart just broke. Very sad.

I didn’t know it was cancer, I thought it was just an inoperable brain tumor. Rene and James did great yesterday! I cried, I’ll miss Lexi!!
