In Days they don't have lives anymore. They don't work in offices. They don't run into each other at Pubs. The don't work at the Hospital and gossip. They don't seem to interact at the police station. Most people in Salem only know one or two other people so when they lose their significant other they probably don't even have a friend or coworker that we have already noticed a chemistry with or we notice them trying to force ABE/Kayle down our throats at Lexie's funeral. Lexie's death was written beautifully but did they have to do THAT at the funeral??? Have Jenn and Brady ever been in the same room together? Has Rafe ever seem to notice that Hope is attractive? |

I agree with both of you. I guess again it is a wait and see on what the new writers are doing. Some of you all have seen tweets and spoilers that have more than just a few working together with names that you don't imagine at first why or how they would work together and would seem odd but with the speculations we might see more interaction - this is killing me this two wait and see..... |

I really hope this writer regime change really puts their all into it for a positive outcome considering the soap renewal deadline is in 2013. |

This sounds like a dream soap. I don't think they can afford to put all the characters together at one time, anymore. Budgets probably dictate that a few characters work together on these days and a few others the other days. My issue is that they don't put the right characters together as couples and write stories around them. We just get interested and bang, either they get torn apart or they are let go. Good writing and directing. Shuffle the characters around, too, not the same two or three every single week. Boring. Rushing odd couples and dragging out bad story lines is awful. We want this soap to go on into the future. If you own it, make it good, Ken Corday. |

It went from being a soap I quit watching years ago to all the reasons I remember loving soaps. I don't quite know how they did it AND they are lowering the budget. The right exec producer and head writer can do amazing things. |

I don't think that we should worry as much about the renewal date - I can't imagine that the Sony & NBC both decided to pull ED away from Y&R(number one soap) and bring her to a soap if they weren't commited to Days. |

GH. I can watch it but I can also leave it. I do love Heather she is completely NUTS. I love Todd but I've loved Todd forever. Did the OLTL fans who totally and completely revived it right before it was cancelled give GH that boost, we know the writer and producer are from OLTL. I loved Kate/Connie but now she is back with Sonny or is she? I don't care for Luke, Anna, Tracy and Felicia, Christina & Trey(???). Do I care anymore about Lulu and Dante? not really. I find Tracy and Luke very funny character actors. When they did the scene with Anthony Z's body like they were drinking outside And the police came up and they pretended he was passed out or sleeping it was "Weekend at Bernie's" hilarious. Christina and Trey I don't like either. Did you see Alexis hustle Shawn into STRIP billiards because he said she was uptight. Todd is even better on GH than he was on OLTL he is so funny even his ringtone for Heather is funny "crazy calling! crazy calling!" Then they had the Friday the 13th episode (it aired Friday the 13th) they made a couple illusions to it then it end with Todd showing up where Luke was being held hostage by Heather and he was wearing a hockey mask (a subtle illusion to Fri. the 13th movies). and I like Connie and not Kate. |

It bothers me that I rarely see some of these characters at work. Cameron why isn’t he shown connecting more with others as a doctor? Abby she’s the daughter of two journalists and she also won an award for an article why isn’t she shown following her parent’s footsteps & getting a job as a reporter? Chad he’s supposed to be a model but he’s also part owner of the coffee shop why isn’t he shown more in being part of that business? Gabi she’s also a model & an obsessed psycho why doesn’t she have other ambitions? Sonny he owns the coffee shop why isn’t he shown more there mingling with the customers? Will he was fired by EJ why isn’t he shown finding other business opportunities with his computer skills? If some of these characters are supposed to stay on the show they need more depth to them then having them stand around looking for a date. They’re coming off as airheads with no goals in life. I’m bringing up my post again because I’ve been around to other soap boards which have this group very low on the interest meter and they really need to strengthen up the young adult set by giving them more personality. Once the kidnapping plot is over the show really needs to step it up with giving them something interesting to do. With the exception of Cameron & Gabi everyone else is part of a family that has a history on the show; they are the next generation to carry on to the future. I’m sure something that’s tied to each of these families past can be brought to give them some form of excitement. |

The only character in the younger set that isn't "vanilla" to me is Will. This includes Gabi which I can't explain because she is supposed to be the villain right now. I guess I'll see how I feel about Will after he start playing with the vanilla kids again. EJ and the power gave him a bit of an edge which I like. He could still have romance and still work for or with EJ and not go back to being vanilla. Even when Abby was crazy, she was vanilla. |
