….utilize all the characters you have?

One issue (out of many) I have currently with this show is that it’s not balanced. Little kids, teens, young adults, older adults and seniors should all be interspersed during the week. What I’m constantly seeing is the same people over & over again with nothing new to add but seem to be saying the same dialogue or doing the same action such as that scene at the police station with Bo, Hope, Marlena & John spent about 15-20 minutes saying that Stefano should pay for what he’s done & someone needs to stop him, I have nothing against the four of them but it was repetitious. Here’s a list of characters that I like that’s not being used as often as others to the best of their ability.

*Sonny-He owns the coffee shop, why isn’t he around interacting with other characters? Ian’s also an investor of the coffee shop, why don’t you create some kind of conflict here?

*Jack-Yes I know MA’s been fired (sucks) from the show but that doesn’t excuse what little we’ve gotten from Jack which shows the lack of care from TPTB for this character. I’ve gone to various soap boards and the fan base for Jack is numerous which just proves that DOOL has no brains at all. Jack has PTSD, why wasn’t this explored further besides just a few scenes? MA is a very good actor & his portrayal of Jack has the depth to do this kind of s/l justice. Jack’s also a reporter and so many story possibilities involving other characters could’ve been played off from this. Reopen the Spectator with his daughter as part of the team which can help pull in some of the other young adults for some adventures such as Will being a computer expert, he could hack into a system to get info to help solve some mystery. Jack could interview EJ as the new mayor & discover some kind of info on the coin or he could’ve overheard Stefano threatening Will. Jack could find out something shady about Ian that tie in with his nephew Sonny & the coffee shop.

*Victor-Ian’s now head of Titan, why isn’t Victor getting more concerned with this and start investigating who this guy is?

*Adrienne & Justin-They both know what it’s like to be parents to a gay son, why aren’t they connecting more with Will & his parents?

I agree with every point you have written, Str8ButEqual. As, I was going through this message board, I was trying to remember what will show on US show, today, and could not. This post is the only new thing I could find. Maybe, with the new writers, again, the show is in transition. Very boring, eh?

corday needs to let us have a shot at wring this thing... good grief we have a lot more input than some of these s/l we are getting... the possiblities from the above mentioned characters just prove my point...the possiblities are infinite!!!

I agree 1000% that the show needs balance. You have the major charcters on maybe 4 days a week and fill in the other scenes on Tues, Wed, Thurs with the minor ones.
Jack & Jen should be in a major s/l because their characters are from the core families and popular. Sonny should (and I think he will) be involved in more story and his parents should be at least minor and on once a week at least.

To all who have posted above, great ideas! DAYS has a cast of good actors in need of good storylines.

TPTB need to wake up!!

Speaking of Jack, how is this going to effect the engagement of him and Jenn now? They are celebrating their anniversary and getting remarried.. Is she leaving as well? This just seems like poor planning on TPTB's end. Although I'm not sad by any means that CarStin is leaving the show; Carrie was just ruined and Austin has become quite needy and desperate in his old age. He needs to man up.
