Outstanding lead actress nominees.

In a rare turn of events, "Days" has two actresses competing in this year's Outstanding Lead Actress category. First up is recently departed "DOOL" star Alison Sweeney (ex-Sami). She received a nod for her work in scenes featuring EJ's (James Scott) nightmarish imagining of what would happen if Sami discovered that he slept with Abigail (Kate Mansi). This is Sweeney's first Daytime Emmy nomination. This episode originally aired on April 21, 2014. Read our Days Recap: This is a Betrayal for more.

She previously won a Primetime Emmy in the outstanding guest actress in a drama series category for "The Trials of Rosie O'Neill" in 1990. This episode originally aired on April 3, 2014.
