Blackmailing liar. (NBC Universal Inc.)
Deconstructing "DOOL" from December 9 - 13:
Salemites made it through another week of drug usage, blackmail, and covering up murder. By Friday, their leathers were at the cleaners and they broke out the leopard print.
The cover up.
Sami thinks her and Gabi's nightmares are their conscience's way of reminding them how horrible Nick was. Not likely. It's more likely that the nightmares are their conscience's way of working through the "murder" and cover-up. I'm using quotations around the word because we've seen no body.
It's a good thing "The Three Stooges" didn't tell Percy the bird watcher to mind his own business when he came upon them at the square and asked what they were doing in the wee hours of the night at the 'beach'. I think if they had, it'd have made him suspicious. Keeping things light and fun and natural seemed their best bet even though he can still finger them for being at the scene of the crime once it comes out. And it will come out. It always does. It's only been a few days and already Sonny knows. This is the most animated we've seen WilSon in...well...ever. Give us more of this, please.
Matt (of Matt's "DOOL" Musings) watched Friday's episode and when Roman turned up at Sonny's place and shouted, "It's the police!" he couldn't believe Sami didn't recognize Roman's voice. Her own father. Then Matt pointed out, "Sonny leaves the window wide open on a windy day in the middle of winter so no one would notice someone was there?" Yep. Salem.
This week's Days poll: Thoughts on this murder storyline?
Rafe letting Kate down gently – if that's what it was, had to have been the most unusual way of letting someone know you're just not into them that we've ever seen. And Kate seemed to take it rather well... so far. I felt embarrassed for her that she's been hanging on without encouragement from Rafe. If she really wants Jordan away from Rafe she should just introduce her to Lucas.
Soaps.com caught up with Chrishell Stause this week to discuss who Jordan really is, what she thinks of Rafe, if she's afraid of Kate and how soon we'll see more of Jordan's mystery solved. Sadly, it's not going to be that soon. Stause tells us, "Honestly, I would say that people need to be patient with the storyline because it is definitely not something that is going to be revealed very quickly." No romance in the afternoon.
There has been no shortage of drama in Salem these past several weeks with murder, a cover up and drugs taking center stage, but the romance department has slowed some. Most couples are separated or having problems. Will and Sonny don't get much action, Adrienne and Justin are rarely seen together, Sami and EJ are on the rocks, and everyone else is separated. The budding romance of Rafe and Jordan (Jafe) should change that soon, and Sami will eventually forgive EJ won't she? It doesn't look like it's going to happen anytime soon. These two have cornered the market on anger sex but this time even Sami took a step back and decided not to go there. Their fight was very realistic, the dialogue spot on and the acting was terrific. They went from one extreme to another and still wound up with no solution. Matt says, "Why can't Will have fights like that?" Indeed. If Sami can't trust EJ there'll be no sex and let's face it, without sex they'll move even further apart. It happens. We've already seen a few EJabby scenes and there's no denying they've chemistry. Abby has daddy issues and a thing for older men (Austin) and since Sami and EJ are having issues, EJ's vulnerable. Who knows what could happen?
Brady's best friend is back in town and the two have been together quite a few times. He's starting to take risks and already JJ's on to him.
Can you believe JJ actually asked a drug dealer to tell him if he sold drugs to a guy named Brady? Brains? Fried!
Theresa was faking amnesia. Who knew? She was very convincing. It's pretty twisty but only means this storyline pimping Dannifer is nowhere near to being over. I'm not sure what to think about that except it's making me root for JJ more. It's pretty funny that in order to get back on Anne's good side she revealed her agenda. She really does play everyone.
HRH Jennifer couldn't wait to get up on her high horse and tell Daniel he wasn't the man she thought he was (for whatever it was he did with Theresa) and that he was vindictive. And before she stomped away she told him to say hello to Nicole – not that she cares why Nicole's living there or what Daniel does. Hmm. Daniel should have said, "Oh contraire Jenny. But you do." Does Jennifer really think Daniel gave GHB to Theresa in order to get some? She should know better. The man's a saint and everyone in Salem knows it so in her shoes wouldn't you be wondering what was up? Oh ye of little faith.
Jenn and Eric are two peas in a pod. They're the most pious and the most judgmental in Salem. Instead of giving people a chance, especially ones they know, they're both quick to judge based on nothing.
It looks like we're closer to the priest remembering his defrocking, what with Daniel's magical concoction and Dr. Chyka being open to spilling Kristen's secrets for the right price. Is it just me or does remote beach look like the living room at the DiMera mansion?
Big question of the week...
How come Maggie can't move into her house? Did she sell it without anyone knowing?
"If I see your roving Lothario, I'll give him a piece of my mind, and if I find a body, I'll know you got to your victim first," says Percy.
EJ, "You know the difference between you and me? I didn't blink."
"I don't trust you," Sami says, "But I love you and that will never die."
Sonny's text to Will, including the four exclamation points… "Only for you would I go back in the closet!!!!"
