Ryland’s mother finds his body when she comes home and screams for Emma to call 911.
At Southfork, Bobby finds Ann washing blood off her hands. She shot Harris. Downstairs, Christopher lets the cops in. Ann’s car was seen leaving the scene of Harris’ shooting. He is in critical condition. Bobby confesses and is cuffed but allowed a moment with Ann. He refuses to let her take to fall or she will lose Emma forever.
At home, Pamela worries about the blood found at her condo. Frank assures her she can’t be connected to a case that doesn’t exist. He hopes she isn’t distracted by John Ross and she hopes he is prepared to answer to her father about the blood.
At the police station, Christopher and the lawyer, Lou, wait for the DA to make a charge after Bobby confessed. Meanwhile, Chris asks around about the Tommy Sutter case. Without a body he is still a missing person. Chris pushes them to go after Pamela anyway. Lou urges him to be patient and they will all get justice.
Frank digs up Tommy’s body, then calls JR and asks if they still have a deal. JR agrees, then Frank tells him that John Ross is in bed with Pamela.
In court Bobby is charged with the attempted murder of Harris and bail is set at $1 million. Judith assures Ann that Bobby will rot in prison.
At Southfork, JR scolds John Ross when he wants to take advantage of Bobby's arrest. "That’s not how this family works," JR says. He grills John Ross about his relationship with Pamela instead. John Ross insists he is just after her shares from the divorce. JR is working with Frank to make sure there will be no divorce. Later, John Ross calls Sue Ellen for a favor.
Drew and Elena’s foreman Brian fight over the angle of drilling on site. Brian refuses to change course and Drew fires him.
Sue Ellen meets John Ross at Ewing Energies. He asks to be put in touch with Cliff Barnes as soon as possible. She hopes he is prepared to face the full weight of JR’s fury. John Ross thinks what he is protecting is worth it. She gives him Cliff’s private number and warns him this could change everything.
Brian looks for Elena at Ewing Energies and tells John Ross that Drew fired him. Chris catches them chatting and questions John Ross about it. He is just waiting for John Ross to hang himself. Later, John Ross has his PI dig up dirt on Drew, enough to get him fired.
Bobby and JR share a drink at Southfork. JR demands the truth and Bobby admits he is covering for Ann. JR offers to bribe the judge if he ever needs it.
On site, Elena screams at Drew for firing Brian, but when he shows her the proof she apologizes. He wants to leave his past behind and earn her trust. John Ross’ PI follows him when he leaves.
John Ross meets Cliff Barnes at the stadium and tells him that Frank and JR are conspiring against Pamela. Cliff is not sure – Frank has been with him for 25 years. He tells John Ross he has wasted his time but John Ross urges him to check up on Frank regardless.
At the stables, Ann perpetuates the lie with Sue Ellen that Bobby shot Harris. She wonders if Emma will ever love her. Sue Ellen urges her to never give up.
Chris orders a beer at the bar next to Brian and tries to get him to admit John Ross put him up to the bad drilling. He insists he just had an off day. The news reports Tommy’s body is found.

Judith is giving off a serious "Mommy Dearest" vibe and it is pretty obvious now where Harris gets his devious ways. She is so into her son, she was willing to do anything to get Ann out of her life. Wow. And I can't help but love every minute of it. Judith is a great actress and deserves delicious roles like this because she gives them all she's got. Meanwhile, it is so obvious that JR and Pamela have developed real feelings for each other, and you have to love where that leaves Christopher when it comes to those babies. He really can't catch a break, can he? As for Frank, it was hard not to feel bad for him as he truly strove for Cliff's affection and love. Now we have to wait and see if Sue Ellen's warning bodes true and John Ross has the wrath of JR waiting for him.
