    John Ross visits Sue Ellen at her office. He never saw her more alive than when she was running for governor and encourages her to build her own empire. He admits he was hurt by Elena, who played him like a fool. She thinks it is time to show Elena who she is dealing with.

    Elena visits Christopher in his office and tells him she is afraid Drew will drill on that land no matter what. Later, Sue Ellen comes by to see Elena and wants her to treat her interests as more than a hobby. She gives Elena one month to hit oil or she calls in her loan. Later, Elena learns from Chris’ secretary that Sue Ellen and John Ross have been chatting a lot lately. The cops call Chris and tell him they found something in Pamela’s old condo.

    At Southfork Ann gets a call confirming her DNA matched the girl in the picture. She goes to see Sue Ellen and Harris is already there. They give him the tape and he hands over the address.

    At campaign headquarters Sue Ellen is confident of her impending win of Governor until the doctor she bribed gives a press conference about Sue Ellen’s misdeed. Elsewhere, JR watches and turns off the TV.

    JR visits Bobby in his room with a bottle of wine. He has unfinished business with JR. JR assures him he was not part of the fraud but Bobby tells him Marta uploaded video to a cloud drive and he saw JR conspiring against him. He won’t send him to jail but wants him to stop double dealing for good and clean up this mess. Later, the nurses wheel Bobby out of his room and Sue Ellen and Ann are alone. She tells Ann she is bowing out of the race and will not launder money for Ryland. Ann does not want Ryland to win but Sue Ellen does not think she deserves to be governor.

    Ann visits Ryland at work and asks her if she wants another hug. She tells him off for sending the necklace and harassing her family. What he is doing to Sue Ellen is too much. He starts to unbutton her shirt and asks her if she is in the mood. She begins to take off her clothes and he smiles – until he sees the wire. She has his confession for blackmail and money laundering on tape. She punches him and tells him if he asks for a hug again it will be the end of her shot gun. Later, she meets Sue Ellen at the playground and gives her the recording to stay in the race.

    Sue Ellen gives her speech in public. She wants to challenge evil and looks at the campaign as an uphill battle – she wants to fight for the good people of Texas who have faith in her.

    Harris Ryland visits Sue Ellen at her campaign office with a bottle of wine. She has not had a drop in over 20 years. He knows she threatened and bribed the medical examiner. Now he needs to borrow campaign funds for private business. She offers to return his contribution but he pours her a glass and tells her she can’t take back her bribe. Do this or be disgraced. She throws him out.

    In his room JR refuses to sign the rights. Southfork is as much a part of him as his bones and he paid a hell of a price for it. He wants John Ross to find a new place to live. Sue Ellen arrives outside and Elena fills her in on Bobby’s condition. John Ross tells them JR is there. Sue Ellen is shocked and stomps off. John Ross spent his whole life wanting to be with JR - to be him. He thought if he was more like JR he would be proud of him but it isn’t enough. JR is lost in his own anger and bitterness there is no room for anybody else. She hugs him.
