"Days Of Our Lives" stars showed up Sunday June 22 looking glammed out and feeling the excitement of the evening. This was the one time a year actors can come together to celebrate after a rigorous work schedule with a little champagne and a few laughs. For those who didn't watch, we summarized the disaster that was the Daytime Emmys red carpet show and spent some time on the carpet ourselves with actors from “The Bold And The Beautiful,” Days Of Our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young And The Restless.
Camila Banus (ex-Gabi, “DOOL”) also spoke to us about what she was wearing. Says her necklace, which was very gold and a lovely contrast against her black mermaid-style Chagoury Couture gown, was an “awesome statement piece” but she couldn’t tell anyone where it was from. She did mention her clutch was from ITA Collection and her shoes were Carlo Pazolini. She says she ran around the whole day to many different places to get her hair and make-up finished. She talked about leaving the show. “For me I wanted to go on and do different projects but I think what we did with Gabi and the whole storyline was amazing. I am so honored and proud of playing her and I love the girls – my daughter. I love Gabi. I love when she’s right. I love when she’s wrong. I love when she’s bitchy.”
Meredith Scott Lynn (Anne, “DOOL”) says she was comfortable in her elegant black and cream two piece outfit. “Except for the Spanx,” she admitted. She saw Jen Lilley and called her over. They discussed how they prepared for the evening by driving to the Emmys together with Aloma Wright. “We listened to Missy Elliott the whole way here and danced.” Wright says, “We got ready together.” They were rooting for Eric Martsolf (Brady) and Ari Zucker (Nicole) and they had a feeling that “Days” would win for best show once more. Wright was looking to “have some fun tonight” while Lynn said about Kathy Griffin hosting, “I am looking to be really offended. I want her to say everything that I’m thinking. I want all the like religious rights sort of conservative Christians to wet their pants tonight. That’s my goal.” True O’Brien showed up as they were talking and Lynn says, “Look who's here. True or false? Is she the most beautiful woman here?” O’Brien was wearing a Tiffany blue frock from Michael Costello and admitted she was envious she didn’t have a girls’ party. She was hoping to have fun and for “Days” to win. Some inside scoop: She brought up the fourth of July BBQ. “A little bit of drama starts up between mine and JJ’s mom. Things get messy but it’s interesting to see.”
Another “DOOL” actor, Casey Moss says his suit was by “Klein Epstein & Parker. My stylist Kim picked it out and I wanted something with a little edge. I’m not a fan of a black tux. I wanted to do something different.” Our reporter commented that he’s not wearing his bow tie. He confessed he didn’t know how to tie it. We asked what was going on with JJ on “Days” and he says, “It’s going to get crazy soon. It definitely threw me for a ride. I’ve been working on the material. It was a blast and it was definitely out there and that’s all I can say. It’s extra juicy.” Soaps.com asked what he did to prepare for today and he said he just relaxed. He wasn’t too concerned about presenting and was excited that Kathy Griffin was hosting the night’s awards.
