Honoring those behind the scenes…

On Friday June 17 many gathered with The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) for the 38th Annual Daytime Creative Arts And Entertainment Emmy Awards, which included various soap operas actors as presenters. These awards are meant to distinguish outstanding achievement in all creative fields of the production of Daytime television from 2010.

And the winners are:

New Approaches Daytime Entertainment:
"All My Children," "General Hospital" and "One Life to Live" for "What If" webseries.

Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction/Set Decoration/Scenic Design:
"General Hospital's" Production Designer Chip Dox, Art Director Daniel Proett, and Set Decorators Jennifer Elliott and Andrew Evashchen.

Outstanding Achievement For A Casting Director for a Drama Series:
"General Hospital's" Casting Director Mark Teschner.

Outstanding Achievement In Costume Design for a Drama Series:
"The Young and the Restless'" Costume Designer Jennifer Johns.

Outstanding Achievement In Hairstyling For a Drama Series:
"All My Children's" Hairstylists Valerie D. Jackson, Joe Edward Matke III, and Terrence Michael Renk.

Outstanding Achievement in Lighting Direction for a Drama Series:
"General Hospital's" Lighting Directors Vincent Steib and Tom Markle.

Outstanding Achievement in Live and Direct to Tape Sound Mixing for a Drama Series:
"The Young and the Restless'" Production Mixer Tommy Persson, Pre-Production Mixer Mikael Persson, Post-Production Mixer Dino Johnson, Re-Recording Mixer Manny Moreno, and Boom Operators Mark Beckley, Denise Palm Stones, Luis Godinez Sr., and Mark Mooney.

Outstanding Achievement in Makeup for a Drama Series:
"The Bold and the Beautiful's" Key Makeup Artist Christine Lai-Johnson, and Makeup Artists Melissa Sandora, Allyson Carey and Jackie Brubaker.

Outstanding Achievement in Multiple Camera Editing for a Drama Series:
"The Young and the Restless'" Editors Steve Pierron, Ralph Gertel, and Marc Beruti.

Outstanding Achievement In Music Direction and Composition For A Drama Series:
"The Bold and the Beautiful'" Composers David Kurtz, Jack Allocco and Bradley P. Bell, and Music Coordinator Lothar Struff.

Outstanding Original Song For A Drama Series:
"General Hospital's" "Bad For You" by Composer & Lyricist Rick Krizman.

Outstanding Achievement In Technical Direction/Electronic Camera/Video Control For A Drama Series: "General Hospital's" Technical Directors Averill Perry and Jim Ralston, Camera Operators DJ Diomedes, Dale Carlson, Craig Camou and Dean Cosenella, and Video Control Charles Barrett.

Outstanding Achievement for Stunt Coordination in a Drama Series:
"General Hospital's" Stunt Coordinator Tim Davison.

Outstanding Special Class Short Format Daytime:
"Venice's" Executive Producers Kim Turrisi and Crystal Chappell, and Supervising Producer Maria Macina.
