    MTS (Soaps.com)

Soaps.com’s Deanna Barnert talked with the red-carpet ready stars of Daytime television at the 39th Annual Daytime Emmys. Find out which designers designed the fabulous gowns of the evening...

Kirsten Alderson, (Starr, "GH") wore a floor length, sexy, shimmery shoulder’s bared silver lame gown from Jessica McClintock. She told Soaps.com that she and her mother were frantic while preparing for the night’s celebrations. In fact, her brother, Eddie Alderson, (ex-Matthew, "OLTL") said he avoided his sister and his mother in their rush to get ready and then twenty minutes before they had to leave, he threw on his black Calvin Klein suit and was ready to go.

Some took longer than others. It took Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki, "Y&R") three hours to get ready. According to MTS, "The older you get, the longer it takes." Melody wore a long Kelly green deep V-neck sleeveless dress by Zac Posen and matching earrings which she says were donated by Mark Lash in Toronto. Scott dished about how she and Sharon (Case, Sharon) loved doing their recent catfight and she hopes it’s just the beginning of more of that to come. She shared her thoughts on the pairing between Sharon and Victor (Eric Braeden). "I just don’t have an opinion yet because we don’t know what the story is yet. You don’t know what is in the writer’s heads," Scott admitted. When asked who she’s rooting for this evening, she confessed, "I’ve been working so much I’m lucky if I even know who is nominated."

    Tom (Soaps.com)

Aaron D Spears (Justin, "B&B") was wearing a Canadian designer’s white suit with black piping from Dsquared2 - he tries to change it up. They’ve five kids so babysitters, hair, nails, the whole thing. They had a speaking engagement at 11 in the morning.

Freddie Smith, (Sonny, "DOOL") wore a light purple shirt with a checkered tie and a white jacket. "I like purple, blue, pink. Those are my three favorites. Black and white are just too… I like popping a little bit," he says. "You see you have a tie like this and you pop. I have socks to match but I’m not going to show you."

Jenn Lilly (Maxie, "GH") says this about the vintage looking silvery white, beaded classic gown, "I’m wearing Sue Wong and I really like her." Jenn’s a fan of the 20s and 30s style, and you can immediately tell by the wave in her hair which was reminiscent of Jean Harlow’s coif that Valerie Jackson did for her.

James Scott (EJ, "DOOL") looked dapper in a Tom Ford tuxedo.

Heather Tom (Katie, "B&B") arrived in a form-fitting black, coral and purple floral printed gown made by Dolce & Gabbana. If you weren’t looking for it, you couldn’t tell she is pregnant.

    Woods (Soaps.com)

Jacqueline MacInnes Woods (Steffy, "B&B") admitted she didn’t have a dress until Emmy day when she purchased the black, green and white trippy sheath. "I found it today on Rodeo Drive," she says. "I procrastinated and don’t know how I made it work." She was in Italy, Monte Carlo and back to Los Angeles all in the same month wearing dresses daily and "couldn’t look for another," she revealed. The dress is designed by Italian designer, Roberto Cavalli.

Molly Burnett (Melanie, "DOOL") presented wearing a blue/grey gradient evening dress from the Cengiz Abazoglu 2009 haute couture collection and open toe Christian Louboutin shoes.
