On the red carpet.
Welcome to Part Two of Soaps.com's red carpet interviews from the 38th Annual Daytime Emmys. Read on to find out what stars from "Days of our Lives," "The Bold and the Beautiful" and "General Hospital" told us.
"Days of our Lives" Casey Deidrick (Chad)
Soaps.com: Are you having a good time so far?
Casey: I'm having a blast. I mean, it's overwhelming it seems like. We got the whole "DOOL" family here. Everyone is just so supportive. We’re here for Chandler Massey [Will] and James Scott [EJ]. I'm just excited to be here and I’m looking forward to the show.
Soaps.com: What's coming up for your character that you can share with us?
Casey: Since the writers have been switching and people have been leaving and going, I don't know too much about what's going on. They haven't said anything to me really. I do know that it's going to be exciting. It's going to be different and it's going to potentially and hopefully get better ratings for our show.
Soaps.com: What do you think about all the changes happening in Daytime and the cancellations…

Casey: I think it's necessary. Absolutely. You've got to roll with the changes. It's unfortunate the past two soaps have been cancelled. Soaps are kind of a household name with our generation and it's sad to see that these shows are going. We want to keep them on the air because there are fans out there that love the show and need the show and watch it every day. They grow up with it, so we're doing our best to keep it on the air.
Soaps.com: What is the feeling like with the new direction the show is going in with paring down the cast and focusing on the core families?
Casey: I think it's great. I think they're going back to what essentially worked for the show a long time ago. I think it's going to gain back our viewers and gain new viewers potentially and we'll see where it goes from there.
