      gh

A rep for "General Hospital" confirmed to Soaps.com that Kirsten Storms is taking a temporary leave for personal reasons. This isn't the first time the actress has taken time off as Port Charles' Maxie Jones. Last July "Days of our Lives" actress Molly Burnett temporarily played the part of Maxie because Storms had to take leave due to stress and skin issues. Storms also was off due to illness in 2011. Then another "Days" actress Jen Lilley played Maxie Jones until Storms returned in 2012.

It is unknown how long Storms will be taking off this time around, or whether Burnett or someone else will temporarily fill in for her again. Soaps.com will keep readers updated.
