      * John-Paul Lavoisier (Rex), David Fumero (Cris), Bree Williamson (Jessica), and John Brotheron (Jared) will appear in ESPN commercials with some big major league baseball names! More on that in our Latest News section!

      * Despite rumors that David Andrew MacDonald (GL's ex-Edmund) will be coming to the show, an ABC rep has just confirmed to Soaps.com, "He is NOT joining the show. He was on set taping an ESPN campaign." More on that in our OLTL News Room!

      * William Whitehead appeared as Virgil Webster on March 7, 2008.

      * Leslie Alexander played a B.E. assistant named Phyllis beginning February 27, 2008.

      * Although it is being reported that Michael Easton (John) will be crossing over to AMC in February, an ABC rep tells Soaps.com, "This is not true." More on that in our News Room.

      * While there's been reports around the net that Victoria Rowell (Y&R's ex-Dru) may be coming to the show, an ABC Rep told Soaps.com, “We do not comment on rumors.” More on that in our News Room.

      * Robin Strasser (Dorian) has just extended her contract until February 2009! More on that in our News Room.

      * Mary J. Blige performed at Ultra Violet starting on February 15th and 18th, 2008! More on that in our News Room.

      * Kevin Orourke made an appearance beginning on February 13, 2008 as Llanview's mayor.

      * Gil Rogers will be returning to the show as Hawk Shayne. Look for his first appearance on May the 1st.

      * Clayton Smith will be taking care of some of Dinah's dirty work when he shows up to play Hans on Wednesday, April the 16th.

      * Mark Schlereth will returns to the role of Roc Hoover on Monday, March the 24th.

      * Ken Arnold and Charlie Hendricks will be appearing as federal agents on Wednesday, March the 26th.

      * Wesley Ramsey will be returning as Sam Spencer on Friday, April the 4th and Monday, April the 7th.

      * Olivia Birkelund will appear as Phoebe on Tuesday, March the 11th.

      * Carey Cromelin will return as the one and only Wanda on Monday, March the 3rd.

      * Real life CBS reporter Brenda Waters of KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, will be playing herself on Thursday, March the 6th.

      * Ricky Paull Goldin (Gus Aitoro) has announced that he will be leaving the show when his contract expires.

      * Persistent rumors that Scott Bryce (Craig on ATWT) will be joining the cast have not been confirmed by the show and remain rumors.

      * Mike Greensburg and Mike Golic from ESPN's Mike and Mike In The Morning will be bumping into Josh and Reva on Wednesday, February the 20th.

      * Jordan Mahome will be getting Marina into a dangerous position on Wednesday, February the 6th.

      * Kevin Stapleton will play Preston, the lucky man who gets to take Harley out for a date on Wednesday, February the 6th.

      * Broadway actress Lizbeth Mackay will appear as Dr. Pleasance on Thursday, January the 31st. Will she be able to talk some sense into Cassie?

      * Lois Robbins will be catching Cyrus out on Friday, February the 1st.

      * Stephanie Gatschet will be returning in the role of Tammy. She will be on Tuesday, January the 22nd, Wednesday, January the 23rd and Friday, January the 25th.

      * Elba Sette-Camara will appear as a cop who helps Harley out on Wednesday, January the 16th.

      * Krista Sutton, a featured actress on the improvisational soap/sitcom Train 48 and American Psycho, will appear on Wednesday, January the 9th.

      * Tuck Milligan will be appearing as Chalmers. He'll be sorting things out between Doris and Buzz on Thursday, December the 20th.

      * Victor Buvine will make an appearance as Commissioner Thompson on Friday, December the 21st.

      * Douglas Harmsen will appear as Fred, a new accomplice for Will, on December the 21st.

      * CBS anchor Kate Sullivan will appear as herself to announce election results on December the 11th.

      * Broadway performer Dylis Croman will be sharing some time with Bill when she appears as Andrea on Thursday, December the 6th.

      * Meredith Patterson will be appearing as Melinda, the wedding planner for Gus and Natalia's nuptials. Patterson is a stage vet and has appeared in the films Broken Flowers and The Princess Diaries 2 as well as TV series Boston Legal. She shall be on GL on Friday December the 7th, Monday, December the 10th and again on Friday, December the 21st.

      * Tom Pelphrey (Jonathan Randall) is expected to return early in 2008 for an undisclosed period of time.

      * Tim Meinelschmidt will be giving Olivia terrible news when he appears in the role of Dr. Lane on Wednesday, November the 28th.

      * John Michael Hill will be getting pushed around by Cyrus and Harley when he appears as Bruce on Monday, December the 3rd.

      * Sexy Shawn Christian will be joining Days as "Dr. Daniel Jonas." His first airdate is March 4th. More about that here.

      * Ashlee Holland (Crystal Miller) has been let go as the storyline with Colleen ended.

      * When I spoke with my pal at DAYS about the rumor that Matthew Florida would return April 25th as Ford Decker, she told me it was "Not accurate." So this means either he is not returning at all or the date is not accurate! More on this as it develops.

      * Bryan Dattilo will not be seen on canvas after February 11 for two months. He will return to the show after that. Watch his last touching scenes with Sami (Ali Sweeney) one last time, today, before he has his two month break!

      * I've been sitting on this one for a while. Frank Parker (Grandpa Shawn Sr.) will be leaving the show, in a final way, February 15th 2008. My contacts at DAYS couldn't comment on this as it's story related.Story here.

      * Patsy Pease (Kimberly Brady) will make a brief return to Salem for just two episodes, starting February 27.

      * Days Execs fired their entire writing staff (Hogan Sheffer, Tom Casiello, Frederick Johnson, Meg Kelly, Gordon Rayfield, Judy Tate, Judith Donato, Renee Godelia and Richard Backus.) There is a press blackout but a rep from WGA contacted me this morning to say, "The writers guild can not comment under the press blackout, but the Guild is looking into the situation."

      * My contact at Days tells me that Ken Corday did not confirm that Shawn and Belle would be returning at a later date, as you see in the rumor mills elsewhere. She tells me she thinks fans are reading too much into it.

      * The role of 'Nurse Maxine' will be played by Aloma Wright. She will first appear in Steve’s hospital room on Friday, February 22nd. See more about that here.

      * Shirley Jones will be a new addition to the show from January 31- February 7. She will be playing “Colleen Brady”.
      UPDATE: This is fun. We've been told that Shirley is studying with Robert Easton to get her Irish brogue down pat for the part! See interview here

      *Soap veteran Rebecca Staab has landed the role of Paul William's ex, and Heather Steven's mother, April Stevens! She will arrive in Genoa City on Friday, January 11th, and will also be seen on Monday, January 14th.

      *On Monday, January 7th, Billy Warlock will continue his role as Jack's right-hand man, Ben Hollander.

      *Tatyana Ali will once again be seen as Lily and Devon's friend Roxanne on Wednesday, January 9th and Thursday, January 10th.

      *Jerry Douglas will appear for two more days as John Abbott's ghost (or Jack's conscience) on Tuesday, January 15th and Wednesday, January 16th.

      * In light of the legal issues surrounding Nathaniel Martson's (Michael McBain) arrest, an ABC rep told Soaps.com that Nathaniel has officially been let go from the show and explained, "Nathaniel Marston has been a valuable member of the cast of One Life to Live bringing Michael McBain to life for legions of fans. He leaves the show with our sincere appreciation for his many contributions and our support as he addresses personal challenges. We wish him well." His last air date was November 29, 2007.       *Welcome back, Terri! Terri Ivans, Simone, will visit Pine Valley on November 1st! Word is she will interact with Kendall. Simone's ghost appeared over the summer in scenes with both Kendall and Greenlee.

      *Sterling Sulieman is coming to Pine Valley to play the part of Dre, part of a garage band that practices near the new Martin home! His role will be a contract role.

      *Also coming to Pine Valley is Jenna DiMartini, Corrina. She will be part of the garage band.

      *Welcome Chris Henry, Ren, another member of the garage band.

      *Victoria Clark, a Tony-award winning actress, will make a guest appearance on AMC October 19th. Victoria will play a party planner who interacts with Jonathan and Ava.

      *Bob Hiltermann is coming to Pine Valley as Walter Novak, Annie's estranged father. Hiltermann is a deaf actor and will be the first deaf character on AMC.He will become closely entangled with the storyline of Spike's deafness.

      *Welcome J.Q. DePaiva, who will play a profoundly deaf boy who appears on New Beginnings with Erica on September 20, 21 and 24.

      *Billy Miller will portray the new recurring role of Wes beginning August 30th. Sources tell us that Wes will work at The Comeback and be interested in Babe!

      *Welcome back, Julia! Sydney Penney, Julia, will return to the show August 31st. She has been off the canvas since June, when she went on maternity leave after having her son Chasen. You can read more about the new baby here.

      *On December 7th Rebecca Kaasa plays a nurse at Oakdale Memorial.

      *UPDATE: Soaps.com has learned that ATWT has re-cast the role of Bonnie! Chauntee' Schuler will join the cast as Bonnie McKechnie on November 5th! You may remember that Bonnie was last played by Napiera Danielle from 2001-2003.

      *Travis Wood will join the cast as Eli Wood. "Eli" was last played by Marc Alden Gray in 2006. At that time, the genetics expert was very attracted to Meg.

      *Welcome back, Kelley Menighan Hensley, Emily. Kelley left for maternity leave in June. She returned October 24th.

      *Neal Bledsoe plays Cole's lawyer on November 13th!

      *Update: ATWT has cast a new Chris! Dylan Bruce joined the cast in October. Chris was last played by Bailey Chase, who left Oakdale in 2005 to take a job at a Pittsburgh hospital.

      *Malachy Cleary will play the minister at Paul and Rosanna's wedding. He also performed their marriage ceremony in 2004

All of the stars will be guests on Oakdale Now with Brad and Katie: on October 8th, Former NY Giants quarterback Phil Simms will appear, on October 12th author Emily Giffin (Something Borrowed, Something Blue) will guest star and on October 18th, watch Food Network star Sandra Lee cook up something delicious with Brad and Katie!

      *Jim Barry plays "Sly", who makes trouble for Dusty starting on Sept. 26th!

      *Jonathan Roumie plays "Jim Fellows", a private investigator hired by Rosanna on September 28th!

      *Justine Cotsonas, Sofie Duran, is joining the cast. She will play a waitress at The Lakeview.

      *Chris Heuisler, Cole, also joins the cast later this summer. He plays a bully who crosses Aaron; he is in a relationship with "Sofie".
