Stephanie surprises Donna, Rick and Steffy try to have a romantic evening, Rocco returns, and Stephanie slaps Rick!

Pam pleads her innocence to Stephanie, but Steph isn’t so sure. She urges Pam to tell her the truth, but Pam insists she didn’t try to kill Rick. Stephanie eventually believes her sister and wonders who did try to kill Rick and set Pam up to take the blame. Stephanie thinks it’s someone who wants both Rick and Pam out of the way. Stephanie wonders if Steffy has any old boyfriends who would want this and Pam brings up Marcus. Pam then thinks maybe it’s Donna and wonders how they can prove that the two of them are involved. Stephanie says if it’s true then she will find a way to prove it and get Pam out of there.

Brooke and Ridge go home and discuss Pam. Brooke then thanks Ridge for supporting her and her son, but Ridge doesn’t want her to get the wrong idea about what happened. Brooke believes his not fighting Steffy and Rick’s relationship is a big step in healing the rift between families. They talk about new beginnings and Brooke notes Ridge’s smile, which she hasn’t seen in a long time. Ridge says he can’t not smile when he’s with her and they start kissing.

Rick and Steffy nuzzle in Rick’s office and Marcus stops by and sneeringly asks if he’s interrupting anything. Rick tells Marcus he appreciates him being so cool since he was the one who lost out. Marcus retorts that Steffy isn’t an object to be won and says he is being cool for Steffy not for him because he sees how Steffy looks at him. All he can do now is hope Steffy will realize who Rick really is before he hurts her.

Donna leaves Eric, who has been out of town, a note in his office with a bottle of honey telling him to meet her in the steam room.

Jake brings Rocco Carner to see Thorne and Felicia. Felicia welcomes him home and asks when he got back from Paris. Thorne says just today, but Rocco says a few days ago. Felicia asks which answer is true. Thorne corrects himself and says he got back a few days ago. Felicia wonders if he wants to talk to Rick because he probably crossed paths with him in Paris. Rocco looks uncomfortable and says he doesn’t need to talk to Rick about anything. Felicia asks if there is bad blood between them and Rocco says not exactly. Thorne explains that Rocco asked for a transfer back to LA several times, but Rick didn’t put it through. Thorne took care of that and informs Felicia they are working on a ‘dynamite’ project together.

Stephanie comes to Eric’s office and reads Donna’s note, as Donna lies in the steam room. Stephanie heads over there and enters, but Donna thinks it’s her honey bear. Stephanie plays along, but then pours a bucket of cold water on her. Donna is furious and Stephanie tells her to come up to the office because she wants to talk to her.

Rick sees Rocco pass by his office and invites him in. Rocco meets Steffy and Rick explains Rocco works for Forrester International. Rocco tells them he finally got transferred to LA, but Rick says he didn’t approve that. Rocco responds that Thorne took care of it and that they are working on a project together that will be ‘the bomb’. Rocco leaves and Rick calls him a loser he’s been trying to fire for years. He then tells Steffy he has a surprise for her.
Donna comes to see Stephanie in Eric’s office who accuses her of being involved in the thing with Rick, but Donna denies it. Stephanie points out her and Marcus’ motives, but Donna throws the blame on Pam. Stephanie insists her sister didn’t do this and she won’t let Pam take the fall for her. Donna storms out and Jake walks by the office while on the phone telling Rick to have a great time with Steffy at the beach. Stephanie overhears and is interested that both Rick and Steffy are at the beach.

Rick brings Steffy to the beach house and she finds a candlelit table and dinner waiting for them. Rick says they can finally enjoy being together, but tells her if he serves her some wine then she might have to sleep over. Steffy playfully says, “Safety first,” and they start making out. While they kiss on the couch, Stephanie barges in and tells Steffy she needs to come with her because someone wants to kill Rick and she doesn’t want to see Steffy hurt or dead. Rick points out that Pam is behind bars and Steffy insists she isn’t going anywhere. Stephanie won’t take no for an answer, but Rick instructs her to get out of there. Stephanie declares, “Not without my granddaughter!” Rick tells Stephanie she is just as crazy as her sister is and Stephanie slaps him! Twice! Steffy gets upset and Stephanie asks her to leave with her again so she can keep her safe. Steffy won’t budge because she is safe and Rick says Steffy is with him now and demands that Stephanie get out of his house. Stephanie tells Rick if he really loved Steffy he would keep her out of harm’s way and if anything happens to her, Stephanie will kill him herself. Stephanie leaves and Rick consoles Steffy.
