Steffy tells Liam to figure it out, Rick apologizes, and Dayzee tells Maya what happened to her baby.
In his office, Rick compliments Malcolm on his promotional work when Hope walks in. Malcolm congratulates Rick on winning the fashion contest and leaves. Hope tells Rick that his day of reckoning has arrived, he owes her and she is here to collect. She tells Rick he needs to apologize to Liam so he will believe things will be different.
Liam tries to work in his office but remembers his kiss with Hope. He calls Steffy who is at her condo. He tells her Hope came by. Steffy said that’s a bad idea. Liam doesn’t want Steffy to think his feelings have changed or that she can’t see him. She tells him to stop, he asked for the space, now figure it out. She hangs up on him. Liam reflects on when he asked Steffy to leave. He gets ready to leave when Rick and Hope enter. Hope says Rick has something to say. Rick apologizes for what he did. Liam says they have been through this. Rick asks what he’s going to do now since he hasn’t asked Hope to move back in. Hope tells Rick that Liam doesn’t have to do anything right now. Rick explains he's wrong about Liam and they both want to make things right. They shake hands. Rick tells Liam Hope shouldn’t have to pay for what he did. Before he leaves he reminds Liam he wasn’t the only one involved. When Hope is alone she apologizes and asks if she should leave. She knows he wants to be good and do the right things. She talks about what they feel and that they need to peel everything else away and get back to what they know. They kiss.
Carter tells Dayzee he talked with the coroner’s office. The deaths are confirmed and Dayzee calls Maya to come to the coffee house. Maya gets off the phone thinking she will finally see her baby. Dayzee asks Marcus what she is going to say. Carter tries to help her prepare for the meeting with Maya when she knocks on the door. Dayzee lets her in. Soon Maya is yelling that she is waiting too long for answers. Carter says Dayzee has information she needs to know. Dayzee explains Maya can’t see her baby and shows her the news story about the accident that killed her baby. Dayzee comforts Maya who doesn’t understand why. Marcus and Carter explain that it was a tragedy with no one to blame.
Taylor shows up at the condo and asks Steffy if she heard from Liam. Steffy mentions she just got off the phone with him. She shares Liam feels bad asking her to leave and he still loves her. She confesses they didn’t discuss everything. She cut him off since he hasn’t made a decision. Taylor thinks Liam won’t chose Hope if she's honest about everything. Steffy believes she was honest in Italy but he chose Hope. This time she'll be sure before she opens up to Liam. Taylor worries about Brooke’s involvement with Liam being vulnerable. Steffy seems annoyed with Taylor's involvement. Taylor explains nothing is more important than the bond between a parent and a child. Steffy claims Liam has enough to deal with and doesn't want to complicate matters. She exclaims when he is ready he knows where he can find her. After her mother leaves she cradles her belly.
