Amber schemes to keep Rick and Caroline apart, Donna and Pam compete, and Caroline gets two invitations.
At Forrester, Amber daydreams of Rick gushing over one of her designs and kissing her passionately.
In the hallway, Donna and Pam vie to do their receptionist duties as Rick shakes his head. He enters Ridge's office and Ridge snarks about him being late for the meeting. Rick asks about his line. Brooke says he's no longer working with Amber. Just then, Amber bursts in. Brooke and Ridge try to get rid of her, as Pam acts like a bouncer. Caroline suggests they treat Amber with respect - she's done some great work. Thomas pipes up that Caroline should work with him. Amber exits and listens as Rick compliments Caroline, and Brooke says Amber isn't appropriate for the company. Caroline says she's looking forward to working with anyone there. Bickering ensues about Caroline and Amber. Thomas thinks Amber should continue to work with Rick. Brooke takes Rick aside and tells him to let Amber go.
Amber spots Jake with a rack of clothes and takes a brown dress. She goes to the studio, alters the dress, and convinces a young male employee to pose for pictures in it. She gets on the computer and murmurs, "This is war," as she superimposes Rick's head on the photo of the employee in the dress.
Caroline and Rick discuss the situation with Amber in his office. Rick says he and Amber get each other. He asks Caroline out for dinner. She accepts. She exits, and Thomas asks her to dinner. She says it will have to be tomorrow. Caroline finds Amber in the studio and tells her she feels bad that they're trying to force her out. Amber says Rick has her back and tells her how he connects with the designs he creates. She 'accidentally' shows her a photo of Rick in the brown dress.
Jake walks past Donna and Pam, who are trying to one-up each other at the receptionist desk, and enters Rick's office. He gives Rick the dress Amber had. Rick tells him that Amber's going to be there for awhile.
In his office, Ridge teases Brooke that she's worried Thomas might win Caroline's heart. She thinks he should tell Thomas to back off. Thomas enters and irks Brooke by saying he is taking Caroline to dinner.
As Caroline is gawping at the photo of Rick in the dress, he enters with it, saying how great the fabric feels. Caroline cancels their date. Rick asks if Amber said something to her - why is she canceling?

Caroline is the recipient of a romantic dinner made by Thomas.
