Hope and Liam meet Caroline, Brooke argues with Rick, and Amber overhears Hope.
In Liam's office, Hope tells him she's fine as long as she doesn't go outside or answer her phone. He says she was under control before - what happened? Hope flashes to taking pills and changes the subject. Liam says his aunt and cousin are coming over. Caroline and Karen arrive with Bill and Katie in tow and introductions are made. Bill is quick to point out that Hope isn't really Liam's fiancee. Caroline finds humor in the controversy. Bill goes on about Hope's fall from grace. Caroline tells Hope that her mother hired her, and that the Forresters are planning a reception for her. They discuss Amber. Caroline asks if it's more than professional with her and Rick. Katie teases that he seems to have made an impression on her. Hope leaves. Liam says Hope's never been under this kind of pressure. Bill says it's her own fault. Caroline leaves to meet with Rick. Bill tells Liam that Hope should move out and Steffy should move back in. Liam says it's not going to happen. Bill asks Liam if 'one flew over the cuckoo's nest' means anything to him.
At Forrester, Amber tells Rick that Brooke is trying to force her out of his life. Brooke appears and says she shouldn't even be in the building. Rick and Brooke bicker. He tells her not to micromanage his life. Brooke warns him not to let Amber hurt him again. They continue to argue. Brooke tells Amber she's talented, but every time she's given her a chance, she's regretted it. Amber asks for one more. Brooke says she'll give her a glowing recommendation to go elsewhere, and appeals to Rick to see what a boon Caroline would be to the company. Amber tells Rick this is personal.
Hope arrives at Forrester and is accosted outside an office by a reporter calling her a hypocrite. Rick and Brooke appear and get rid of her. Amber listens through the door as Hope freaks out and Brooke tells her to call Dr. Barton. Brooke leaves and Hope calls Dr. Barton, who can't see her until next week. Amber listens as Hope tells her she needs more anti-anxiety pills to get her through. Dr. Barton refuses, and Hope is upset. She realizes that Amber heard about the pills. Amber figures out that she's keeping it a secret from Liam, and reminds Hope that dishonesty is the reason Liam dumped Steffy. Amber says she doesn't want to lose Rick, and she doesn't want her to lose Liam. She says, "Help me, Hope, and I'll help you."
Rick is talking to the reporter about cutting Hope some slack when Caroline enters his office. The reporter spots Caroline's design on the desk and is appeased with the promise of an exclusive. She leaves, and Rick tells Caroline he's excited about their arrangement. They flirt.
