Rick defends Eric, Ridge advises Steffy, and Rick tells Katie his plan.
At the outdoor restaurant, Brooke and Katie discuss Taylor getting a chocolate fountain from Thorne for Valentine's Day. Brooke wonders if Katie thinks Liam was wrong to ask for an annulment. Katie says he was naive to think Steffy would go along with it. Brooke talks about Hope's disappointment. Katie hates to say it, but she shouldn't have done the press conference. They discuss how Steffy is counting on Liam not being able to make it through six months of abstinence. They think maybe Hope should compromise. Brooke agrees for Katie to talk to her about it.
Ridge checks in on Steffy at Forrester. She asks if he and Brooke are arguing because of the situation with her, Liam, and Hope. Ridge says they're not, and talks to Steffy about moving on - with anyone but Bill. Steffy agrees, "Anyone but him." Rick appears and asks, "Anyone but who?" She says, "You. Been there done that." Rick pointedly wonders why Hope didn't come in today. Steffy tells him to stop - they can't all slip in and out of marriage as quickly as his mother. Ridge wants to talk business - he says someone has to go and it's not going to be him. Rick accuses him of wanting him to sell Eric out because he's not there. They bicker about the lines. Steffy jumps in as well - she doesn't want Eric around the lingerie models. Rick insists that Ridge needs Eric's input, and offers to help out with the intimates line. Ridge agrees to it. Steffy's not thrilled. Rick leaves, and Steffy bickers with Ridge briefly, before talk turns back to her not signing the annulment papers. Ridge suggests she leave open the door which leads forward - to new opportunities. They joke about her having to work with Rick. Brooke enters. Steffy warns her not to say anything about being reasonable, and leaves. Ridge tells Brooke he asked Steffy to keep an open mind about the future.
Rick spots Katie in another office. He tells her he will be working on the lingerie line with Steffy. Katie says that can't be comfortable for him given what Steffy did to Hope. Rick says Hope deserves better and he's going to see to it that she gets it. Rick complains that Steffy knew Hope and Liam belonged together, and speculates that Steffy channeled her anger at Brooke toward Hope. Katie wonders if there's anything they can do about it. Rick reminds her that he and Steffy have a past. Katie realizes he's planning to seduce Steffy to help Hope. Rick asks her not to tell Brooke. Katie thinks it's sometimes good to fight fire with fire. She asks how she can help. Steffy appears. She tells Rick she's now his boss. Rick smirks that they can have a decent working relationship - they both have huge goals.
