A Guy Who Can Only Give Half His Heart. Tuesday, February 14 2012

Hope tries to convince Steffy to let go, Rick has a suggestion, and Steffy gets a memorable Valentine's Day gift from Liam…

Outside at Brooke's, Ridge suggests Liam shouldn't be married to anyone right now. After Liam rushes off, Ridge joins the guests inside. They argue over who's right or wrong. Katie blames Steffy, and Rick defends her. Ridge sides with Rick, claiming Liam's made his own decisions. Rick wants Hope to be happy and to make sure Liam's the right guy for her. "He is," Katie asserts. Brooke and Ridge promise not to let their daughters' issues affect them. After Brooke leaves, Katie apologizes to Ridge. She hates what Steffy is doing to Hope and reminds Ridge, "You're supposed to care about her too." Ridge wonders why Katie wants Hope to be married to a guy who can only give half his heart.

At Taylor's, covered in chocolate, Hope stares at the torn annulment papers. "So much for your grand plan to marry Liam today," Steffy seethes, vowing never to give him an annulment. If he's forced to wait six-months, it'll be long enough to realize he shouldn't rush into a marriage with Hope. Hope reminds Steffy that her tricks haven't worked and demands she stop trying to keep Liam from her. "What the hell?" Liam asks from the doorway. He can't believe Hope attacked Steffy with chocolate. Hope rants about how far Steffy has driven her. Liam insists to Steffy that he wanted to marry Hope today and reiterates to Hope that they'll have to wait six months. Liam already had divorce papers drawn up. They're being messaged over as they speak. Steffy agrees if after six months Liam still wants Hope, she'll give him a divorce. Brooke appears and blames Steffy for the mess and accuses her of playing games. Hope admits her fault in the mess and wants Liam to leave with her. He has to wait for the divorce papers. Hope kisses Liam goodbye then leaves with Brooke. "At least we ate chocolate," Steffy shouts and teases Liam, who can't help but smile. When the papers arrive, Steffy catches Liam looking at a photo of them. "It was a hell of a ride," Liam recalls then brings up a settlement. Steffy doesn't want one and cries, "I want you." Liam signs the papers. Steffy does the same. He holds her close.

Brooke and Hope return home. Rick notes by her appearance that she didn't get Steffy to sign the papers. Hope agrees to have faith in her and Liam's love then goes to shower. Rick reminds Brooke that Liam still has feelings for Steffy. Is she sure Steffy won't have a hold over Liam in six months? Brooke's confident Hope will come out on top. "A lot can happen in six months," Rick replies.
