Taylor confronts Liam, Brooke and Hope talk weddings, and Steffy receives annulment papers.
At Forrester, Hope thinks back to reconciling with Liam and smiles. Brooke enters and shares in her happiness. Hope muses that Ridge must not be too thrilled. Brooke admits his concern is Steffy. Hope gushes that Liam carried her over the threshold - they love each other so much. She says staying true to her principles really did pay off. They discuss Steffy. Hope thinks she should apologize to her, especially since she suggested Liam get an annulment. Brooke wants to know what the wedding plans are, and Hope says it will be quiet and meaningful. She wants to wed in Brooke's house. They laugh and hug.
Ridge enters Steffy's office and hugs her. She tells him there was nothing fake about her marriage. He says he thought it would work out. Steffy asks him not to come down on Liam - it's a complicated situation. Ridge wants to know more. Steffy says she'll have to learn the art of patience. Ridge warns her not to put her life on hold, but Steffy insists she and Liam will be together. She says she was so terrified of being abandoned she pushed Liam out the door - like a self-fulfilling prophecy. Ridge blames himself for her insecurity. Steffy says she'll be new and improved the next time around.
At Spencer, Liam signs the annulment papers and Justin says he'll take them over to Steffy. Liam is glad. Justin muses that Bill won't be happy. Liam doesn't care, he wants to marry Hope as soon as possible. Taylor arrives. She's outraged that Liam plans to serve Steffy with annulment papers. She talks about Steffy's feelings, and suggests they try counseling. Liam says he needs to be with Hope. Taylor angrily says Steffy is collateral damage and stalks out. Ridge arrives and confirms that Liam's decision is final. Ridge says he'll respect it, since he knows what it's like to be in Liam's position.
Taylor storms into Forrester looking for Ridge. She tells Brooke that Liam is about to hit Steffy with annulment papers. Brooke's not surprised, which angers Taylor further. They argue about the cosmic joke of their daughters growing up to fall in love with the same man just like they did.
Hope enters Steffy's office and tells her she's sorry she got to be with Liam at her expense, but they belong together. Steffy scoffs that her marriage is just a speed bump on the road to true love. Justin appears with the annulment papers, and then leaves. Steffy accuses Hope of pushing Liam to do this. She protests that her marriage wasn't a mistake. Hope says Steffy should sign the papers.
