    Facing the voice recording. (CBS)
"The Bold and the Beautiful" for the week of June 30 - July 4:

    Cannot be trusted.
Oh, the scenes with Caroline, Maya, and Rick were so good. Maya tried to deflect and distract from her steam room antics with the Oliver recording, but Caroline was having none of it, and asked why Maya was up in Oliver's business anyway, and made sure she didn't let her forget for a minute that she'd hit on her hubby. Haha! Maya's bought herself a load of trouble. I kind of can't wait to see what Caroline will dish out. As discussed last week, it looks like Maya could end up with no man and no job.

    Medieval fare.
Every time Pam is on, you know it's going to be good. The Medieval Times scenes were no exception - she gets so overly-excited it's hilarious, and she and Charlie are such a fun (and funny) pair. Oliver also had a great time at the jousting match, and later he and Ally had a little Romeo and Juliet moment, after which he found himself facing the music, or voice recording as the case may be, with Rick and Caroline. He was very convincing about having fallen in love with Ally. Strangely, I found myself wanting it to be true so that he wouldn't get fired, and Ally wouldn't get hurt. That said, I don't really 'feel' the pairing. Ally acts so young that it's too much like watching a teen TV series and we've already been there, done that with Hope.

    Afraid of his own shadow.
As much of a hoot as it's been at times, it's kind of tough to believe that Liam would just sit back and let Quinn scare the crap out of him. Why doesn't he report her to the police, record her threats and hold them over her head, or at the very least sic Bill on her? Bill seems to be living in a bubble as far as this storyline is concerned when he should be up to his sword necklace in it!

    Yike! (CBS)
After Brooke spent time firmly establishing with Bill that she didn't consider his romp with Quinn to be cheating, she was stunned to find Deacon at her door. I'm not entirely sure why she was surprised given that she knew he was in town. He made his case for being a belated father figure to Hope and Brooke told him to forget it. Bill appeared and the two bad boys sparred verbally until Deacon was kicked to the curb. After Hope showed up and declared her intention to have a relationship with her father, Brooke was suddenly on board with it. Go figure. Do you think Deacon deserves a chance to be a father to Hope? Vote in's B&B Poll: Deacon and Hope.

    Capable of murder?
Apparently, Quinn just may be capable of murder, and Deacon, among others are beginning to figure that out. How great was it that she made a life-size Spencer sword in her dungeon/warehouse? Hehe! Who else felt bad for Wyatt this week? His scenes in the bar with Hope were heartfelt and his regret over his mother's actions at Liam's house was palpable. Loved the scenes with one person after another confronting Quinn and denying and not wavering from her stance one itty bit. Crazy! The week ended with her standing over Liam with her sword pressed into his neck. The first question in my mind was who would show up to halt the proceedings? The second was where do they go with Quinn after this?

Happy Fourth of July to the American readers, and here's hoping the Canadian readers enjoyed their Canada Day earlier this week!

It amazes me as well that not only has Liam not called the cops or attempted to get a restraining order against Quinn. Even more amazing is that Liam fails to secure his house better knowing Quinn has easily gotten in every other time.

So agree with you about everything. The whole Liam-Quinn thing has gone over the edge and I have been wondering, too, what they are going to do with Quinn. It's too bad because Rena Sofer sizzles on the screen.

I think it's funny that Bill was so actively involved in "saving" his son from the dastardly Amber and Hope, but is clueless that he is actually in danger from Quinn. I guess he's too wrapped up in Brooke to think about any of his sons.

The fact that Liam hasn't hired a security service, installed an alarm, gotten a restraining order or even once called the police is just stupid, and is causing some fans to blame the victim for his own victimization.

Ally's story is a bit like Hope's but Ally is much more vulnerable and romantic (and less self-righteous) than Hope ever was, so maybe it will turn out differently. I hope Maya doesn't ruin things but I have a feeling she will. Perhaps the writers are trying to write her out. She doesn't have anything to hold her to anyone on screen anymore. Both she and Carter are connected to the rest of the characters only by their jobs (Marcus and Daisy are AWOL) so they can be easily disposed of.

I wonder what happened to Thomas and Steffy coming home? You'd think they would at least want to lay eyes on their father who is back from the dead. I am also still wondering why no one has questioned what Ridge was doing during all those days when he was missing -- who took care of him, how he made it back to the hotel, etc. Something is wrong there. And the whole Bill-Justin guilt thing seems to have been forgotten at least for now. I expected at least a Ridge-Bill showdown -- Ridge tells Bill he won't say anything if Bill dumps Brooke, or something.

I love that Bill calls Deacon a convict -- so ironic. Bill has done so many things for which he could be wearing an orange jumpsuit it isn't even funny. I think he doth protest too much.

Either Hope will make Deacon a better person or she will be very sorry.

I am not sure what is going on here, but my guess is Rena Sofer's contract is not going to be renewed or she will be bumped to recurring - or sent to B&B's equivalent of the Gulag - Paris - never to be seen or heard from again - or at least trotted out rarely. B&B normally does not go in for this kind of sicko violence so I don't get it. With the new Ivy Forester coming on as a jewelry designer, my next guess is that she and Wyatt will go into business together - perhaps as a division of Forester. Then, (1) Ivy and Wyatt will fall in love (2) Steffi will come back long enough to drug Liam and get him in bed and maybe get pregnant(3) Hopey will find them and (4) Hopey will run back to Wyatt (you were REALLY my one true love all along! yada yada..)(5) Wyatt will now be terribly conflicted. This will be the new Taylor-Brooke-Ridge for the next decade or so. Ugh - we still have the floating Darla Head. Hey, makes me wonder why was Ally so upset to the point of insanity and (again) violence about Darla when she can talk to the head apparently whenever she wants. I don't know what to think about Oliver and Ally - I guess I hope his feeling are real. Once thing is for sure, the Tudor-era garb suits her - very cute.
