For one thing, he recently competed in Italy's version of "Dancing with the Stars" (called "NOTTI SUL GHIACCIO"). He trained in Las Vegas with Gary Visconti, 1932 United States World Champion, before jetting off to Italy to partner up with Virginia De Agostini. You can check out his first few spins around the training rink at See Dan Train. He doesn't look too sturdy and he looks right at the camera and proclaims, "I'll be ready….to survive." And survive he did, he and his partner made it all the way to the semifinals. Check out his official performance at Dan McVicar's skating performance.
In addition to his newly developed prowess on the ice, McVicar actively participates in The McVlog, a vido blog that he launched in July, 2006. He explains what exactly a "McVlog" is by saying, "…an opportunity for me to indulge my curiosity and bring profiles and interviews on subjects as diverse as politics, culture, nightlife, and, of course, tech culture." He also hosts an online show called "The Late Night Mash" which features interviews with stars such as Andy Garcia, as well as integrated content from animators, vloggers and artists. Check it out at Late Night Mash.
It's always interesting to see what creativity is lurking behind the very attractive faces (and bods!) of our soap actors' facades, don't you think? Dan McVicar is a Mensa member, ice skater, internet renegade and dynamic addition to our beloved Bold and the Beautiful family.
