I Can't Be At Your Wedding. Tuesday, June 19 2012

Deacon stalls Hope, Steffy remembers, and Katie overhears Marcus and Dayzee.

In her suite, Hope tells Deacon how happy she is that he came for her wedding - he has no idea how much she wanted this. Deacon holds her, looking agonized. He nabs her phone off the table. Deacon tells her he didn't think she wanted anything to do with him. She asks why he never made contact. He says Brooke warned him to stay away, and was doing what she thought best. He says Hope didn't need a selfish jerk as a dad. Hope says she's grown up and can handle selfish jerks now. Hope wants Deacon to walk her down the aisle. He refuses, saying everyone would lose it to see an ex-con walking her down the aisle. Deacon says he wanted to see her, but can't be at the wedding. When Hope says she should go, Deacon asks for more time together. Hope tells him every year on her birthday she hoped he'd make contact. Deacon assures her he'd never want to cause her pain. Hope says she knows he's missed her as much as she's missed him. Deacon warns she can never trust him, but she doesn't think he'd hurt her. He sees her off.

At the church, Brooke tells everyone that Hope is probably just reflecting on what this day means to her - she'll be there any minute. Liam assures Bill that Hope is allowed to take her time, and will be there. Liam tells Ridge he should ask Hope again about walking her down the aisle. He says he did. Ridge wonders if she'll ever call him 'Dad' again. Bill phones Alison and tells her to get rid of the car waiting to bring Hope to the church.

On her terrace, Steffy thinks about being with Liam in Aspen, and how she felt when he tore up the annulment papers. She then recalls letting Liam go.

At Spencer Publications, Marcus is looking for Justin when Dayzee finds him. Marcus explains that Justin and Bill are up to something shady regarding Hope and Liam's wedding - he's worried. Katie overhears them as Dayzee asks if he really believes Bill would stop the wedding. Marcus says his Pop used the word, 'Sabotage'. As Marcus questions what he should do about it, Katie busts in and asks, "What's my husband going to do to Hope?"

Outside the resort, Hope watches as her driver leaves. She shouts, "This is my wedding day! Come back!"
