Maybe It's For The Best.

In Steffy's office, Stephanie tells her that Brooke overheard them talking and knows about the annulment papers - she's probably headed Liam's way. Steffy calls him and warns him. She tells Stephanie that he said, "Maybe it's for the best." They speculate about what that might mean, and why he tore up the papers.

Is It True?

At Forrester, Stephanie is stunned to learn from Steffy that Liam didn't tell Hope about the annulment papers. She says Steffy seems confident. Steffy says Liam and Hope are supposed to be marrying soon - if that's what he wants, she'll have to live with it. Stephanie says she's strong. Steffy talks about the look on Liam's face when he tore up the papers - their marriage is not over. Stephanie laughs when Steffy tells her that she and Liam sang a Bob Hope song together - she owes Eric for introducing her to his movies! Brooke listens at the door as Steffy describes how they sang as Liam held the annulment papers. Steffy leaves, and Brooke rushes in, excitedly asking, "Is it true? Steffy signed the annulment papers?" Stephanie bursts her bubble, saying Steffy signed them in Aspen and Liam tore them up. Brooke wonders how Steffy manipulated the situation. Stephanie says he also kissed her. Stephanie tells Brooke that Liam and Steffy staying together could be a blessing - Hope's very messed up. Brooke hisses, "How dare you!"

He'll Never Stop Loving Me.

Steffy and Stephanie talk at Forrester. Steffy tells her grandmother what happened on the mountain with Hope, and that it was Liam who found her. She goes on to say that she had an epiphany in Aspen and signed the annulment papers. Stephanie is taken aback. Steffy talks about how Liam stayed by her side and cared for her - she realized she didn't need to worry about the annulment because he'll never stop loving her. Stephanie is still upset that she signed the papers. Steffy tells Stephanie that when she gave Liam the papers he ripped them up and they kissed. She muses that he's still with Hope though. Stephanie says she needs a drink - when will Liam make up his mind?

Enough.

Stephanie and Taylor enter Brooke's office. Brooke tells Taylor that Steffy was in a collision on the mountain but is fine. Taylor gets a call from Steffy, who tells her she's in the hospital for her knee. She explains that Liam found her and stayed with her. Taylor relays the news to Brooke and Stephanie. Brooke marvels that the two of them crashed. Stephanie is distressed about the whole situation with Steffy and Hope chasing after Liam. Taylor points out that Steffy is Liam's wife.

Self-Medicating.

At Forrester, Stephanie appears in Brooke's office and asks what's wrong. Brooke says Hope's trip to Aspen is a disaster - the press is harassing her. Stephanie scoffs at Hope thinking she could escape the media in Aspen. Brooke says she isn't sure Hope can handle it. Stephanie asks if there is something else going on. Brooke tells her Hope has been seeing a therapist, but has also been self-medicating. She explains how Stacy prescribed anti-anxiety pills initially, and Hope got more online. Stacy arrives, and Brooke introduces her to Stephanie. Brooke tells her that Rick learned the press were bothering Hope in Aspen. They discuss Hope getting pills online. Stacy says that if she didn't need a prescription, it's not a reputable online pharmacy. She warns how dangerous the pills could be.

Cootie Line.

Stephanie gets a visit from Pam in her office. She asks, "How did you get past security?" Pam mumbles that she thought she'd forgiven her. An argument erupts. Pam says she never really grew up all the way and isn't sure she knows how to go about it. Stephanie softens as Pam cries. Stephanie says Pam needs to keep busy. Pam asks for her old job back. Stephanie says Ridge and Eric would shoot her! Pam disagrees - they'll go along with whatever she tells them. Pam exits and spots Donna at the receptionist desk. She asks, "Shouldn't you be at the docks picking up sailors?" Bickering ensues. They both say they were hired by their sisters. Pam makes a 'cootie line' down the middle of the desk. Donna glares.

Desperate Or Committed?

Steffy arrives at the Forrester mansion and Stephanie tells her the kids are all by the pool - including Liam. Steffy tells her grandmother Liam said he'd missed her. Stephanie notices she's wearing her wedding ring. Steffy muses, "Does that make me desperate or committed?" Stephanie talks about the 'buzz' Hope and Liam have created. They discuss Hope swinging from stressed to loose - it's puzzling. They also discuss Caroline, and how Thomas and Rick both like her. Thomas appears, getting food for Hope. He mentions that Liam thinks Hope has been acting strange.

California Has A Lot To Offer.

At the Forrester mansion, Caroline tells Rick over the phone how incredible it is there. He says he'll be right over to put sunscreen on her back. Caroline goes inside where she talks to Stephanie about her late aunt. Stephanie says she made an impression on everyone she met. She then remarks on the impression Caroline's made on all the young men. Caroline laughs, "Rick?" Stephanie says she meant her hot grandson, Thom.

Rick is leaving Forrester and passes Brooke and Ridge. He says he's going to see Caroline, but Ridge says he hasn't okayed them working together. Rick remarks that they may not be working. Brooke giggles. Later, Thomas enters. Ridge realizes he's looking for Caroline. Thomas complains to Ridge about Rick having a line. Thomas thinks Eric was wrong to go over Ridge's head and approve it. Stephanie comes in and Ridge mentions Rick and Caroline having a meeting. Stephanie says she's at the pool. Thomas heads out. Ridge tells his mother he felt Caroline in the guesthouse when he was talking to her niece there. They discuss who Caroline should be with - they agree it's Thomas.

Sweet Caroline.

Hope re-enters the Forrester mansion and laughs uncontrollably when Dayzee asks how she's coping. Liam gives her a strange look. Rick finds Caroline alone and offers to show her around L.A. She accepts. Amber watches, and then chats Caroline up afterward. She tells her Rick is a player. Across the room, Hope tells Bill, Katie, and Liam that Amber's not so bad - she's just annoying. Stephanie approaches Caroline and warns her about Amber - she loves her, but she makes bad choices. Ridge appears and compliments Caroline on the foundation video. He says he'll tell her more about her aunt. Meanwhile, Hope crosses the room to Amber and asks if her adorable baby is sleeping. Amber suggests they become friends. Brooke looks over when Hope laughs out loud at something Amber says. Brooke warns Amber she sees through her attempt to butter up Hope. Amber thinks Brooke should understand how it feels to be her. Brooke orders her to leave. Amber refuses.
