    KAREN SPENCER'S HISTORY

    Karen was kidnapped as a baby, so Caroline Spencer had no idea she had a twin sister. Karen was found working as Faith Roberts in a diner in Texas. Blake Hayes hoped to use her to lure Ridge away from his then-wife, Taylor. When Blake's plan didn't go off as hoped, he bound and gagged Karen, who was saved by her father Bill and Thorne Forrester. She and Thorne began dating. Karen ended up competing for Thorne's attentions with his ex-wife, Macy, and after befriending Brooke, started seeing her attorney, Connor Davis. After lying to him that she was pregnant, their wedding was halted just after exchanging vows at the altar, and was later ruled invalid. Karen left town.

    Karen returned to Los Angeles after Bill Spencer Sr died and she learned of her half-brother, Bill Spencer Jr. She attended Bill's wedding to Katie, and later returned for his vow renewal ceremony.

    Not long afterward, Karen came back to Los Angeles with her daughter, Caroline, her late sister's namesake, and Brooke helped Caroline land a job at Forrester. Karen left, but soon moved to Los Angeles to be with Caroline, bringing her wife, Danielle. Karen wanted to keep the true nature of her relationship with Danielle a secret, but after Katie saw them kiss, she finally told her brother, Bill, the truth and was relieved to have his love and acceptance - so unlike her late father's reaction.

    Tuesday, January 08 2013: Back To Haunt You.

    At Bill and Katie's house, Hope hollers at Bill that she wants the truth - everything that happened in Italy was his handiwork! Bill informs Hope she's supposed to yell, "Fore!" to give people a chance to get out of the way. He tells Taylor she's got a new patient. Hope says she won't leave until he admits everything. Bill reminds her he accepted her marriage, but says she was too immature to handle marriage. Hope says she's changed. Katie urges Bill to come clean. Hope accuses Bill of bringing Deacon to Italy. Katie admits she knew, and says Deacon did it for his freedom. Hope talks about how much it meant for Deacon to show up, but now she knows it was a scheme. Bill shrugs that they still got married. Hope asks Brooke, "Can you believe what this man has put me through?" She realizes Brooke already knew. Taylor says she and Donna also knew. Brooke explains that Liam was back with Steffy when they found out. Karen and Danielle chime in about Bill's controlling ways. Bill tells Hope not to tell Liam if she cares about him. Hope tells Bill he's taken everything from her and now she's come back to haunt him - he's going to understand how it feels to have everything ripped away. Once alone, Bill tells Katie her niece is out of control. She suggests he lay off the booze for a while - for their family. Bill worries about Liam. Katie says eventually Liam will forgive him; she has.

    Friday, January 04 2013: Bumped Up.

    Rick sits by Caroline in her hospital room. Katie and Brooke enter, followed by Karen and Danielle. Rick tells Karen she fell because Bill lost his temper. Brooke says it was an accident. The doctor says Caroline needs rest and someone to keep an eye on her. Rick vows not to leave her side. Karen complains to Katie about Bill's anger management problem and his drinking. Brooke thinks he was fine. Karen disagrees and asks Katie to help fix the problem.

    Bill goes home where Justin is waiting. They discuss everything that went on at the hospital. Suddenly Katie arrives, followed by Brooke, Karen and Danielle, and then Taylor. Justin leaves. Bill mutters, "Coward." Karen says he needs to stop drinking. Bill says, "You have to be freakin' kidding me."
