It has been said that Bell is replacing him. The last interview I read said that he would eventually recast him but I have read that he has contacted an actor for the role.. I personally dont think I can look at another actor as Ridge after 25 years but I guess he has no choice..

Another poster said if they did a recast at least the writers should write in that he had an accident and had to undergo plastic surgery. This would help maybe but to just do a recast would be something to get used to . I dont know that I could get used to it.. I will miss RM as Ridge

I haven't watched this show in awhile (I can't take this triangle anynmore). But I will be tuning in for Ridges' departure.

Plastic surgery would be a mistake.

When Ronn Moss can't get hired anywhere else, he'll take the pay cut and come back.

Maybe the won't make any sort of excuse for the change in looks.
I don't see why they can't just make an announcement on his arrival. "The part of Ridge Forrester in now being played by..."
It's not unknown for a actor to take up an old role. The Ridge character is no different.

I'm guessing that is probably what they will do. I have seen it done like that on Y&R. I still think it will take some getting used to. Personally I think it will be hard, kind of like Eric Braeden as Victor Newman(dont think I could get used to a new Victor if they ever had to recast him).

for one wont watch it if they get rid of Ridge. I like to watch him n he has been on the show for years. Im bout to stop watchin the soap anyway cause of Steffy plus Hope's supposed marriage to Lieam. They belong together and its just gettn to be way to much. Back to Ridg, he os one foxy dude
