Why is she pretending that her meeting Ridge was accidental?

She found out her mother was hired to cater Stephanies party and she begged to work it specifically TO meet Ridge.
Her and her trusty little scrapbook were salivating about the prospect of meeting him.

I can answer her question, If Brooke had never met Ridge, Ridge and Caroline would have had a lot more time together instead of spending most of it fighting your manipulations.

Ridge would have married Taylor after Caroline died and NOT had to deal with her interferring in THAT marriage for years and years. So far the only good thats come out of her presence in his life is RJ and maybe Belief.

Day ONE viewers KNOW it wasn't accidental and that Brooke WAS deliriously clipping out pics of the handsome RICH boy and plastering pages with them!
All the while USING Dave, feeding him crap ....until she pounced on the opportunity to serve her little tray at the Forrester mansion!
Rewrites!! Nothing more that total rewrites that DO affect viewers selective knowledge, conning them to believe that it WAS BRIDGE for 25 years when it was not!
It was written that Brooke orchestrated the entire meeting.....and inserted herself into their lives because she couldn't handle being the girl caterer from the valley..and was greedy for the fine life, $$$ and fame.
She even wrapped her legs around Eric when she couldn't get Ridge....got pregnant by him, was on the abortion table, already drugged....when he came to save his son with a promise to offer the Forrester name in marriage.
How many can remember the jilted Brooke standing outside the church doors, sobbing and falling apart when Ridge was marrying someone who WAS NOT HER???

It's true that Brooke wanted to meet the Forrester's and that's why she helped her mum with the catering. But it is also true that their meeting was accidental. She didn't go and introduce herself or anything like that. She was serving guests and Ridge was waiting for Caroline. She had her back turned to Ridge and he rushed to her thinking that she was Caroline (although why would Caroline be wearing a waiter's uniform?). After realizing his mistake, he apologized but he also seemed interested in her. She also didn't introduce herself at this time.

Eric approached her since she wanted to know if the woman in charge was his college sweetheart Beth Logan.

She bumped into Thorne as she was having and he also seemed to be interested in her but she didn't introduce herself.

Even if you go somewhere as the help, there is no guarantee that you will meet the famous person you want to meet.
