Spoilerish Contract renewals and retirements

My wording of what he said while other soaps are cutting back, he was doing the opposite. Pretty much gambling that it would pay off. That is why they have been doing all the location shots. But Italy and Aspen this year didn't have the needed ratings boost. I would say the financial issues are from the new 1 year contract with CBS. |

Nor is Steffy who makes the show. Many people have there favorite charaters and have characters they hate. One character does not make or break the show. You hate Hope so in your opinion most people do too. There are alot of people that hate Steffy as well and probably feel she is the reason for the problems. All this is just personal opinion. There are alot more people that watch this soap that do not post on message boards that you have no idea who there fav is. All soaps are in trouble. People just don't watch like they use to. Its just sad that soon daytime soaps will be a thing og the past. Imo I am not going on my opinion. I am basing it on the many world-wide polls, contests, votings, etc. Hope has continually been voted the most annoying character in the history of soaps and she scored highest in the character we want TO LEAVE! Sorry, to just ignore all the facts is not being objective. She also admitted in an interview that she knows it. The interviewer even said to her face...I HATE the character of Hope. Remember, this is not "love to hate", this is I want a recast hate. |

I think that should be the other way around. The vetren characters seem to bring something out in the younger generation. JMW is a very good actress but the show survived decades without her character. So that it really putting to much credit on one character. Actually no. JMW is praised by the rest of the cast to work with. HT said that she would not have won her emmy with out her. Bell uses JMW to bring in ratings as well as bring out the chemistry in the cast. As HT and DD said in their interview that they can relax because the Spencers always brought it. Interview was during Steams marriage and JMW was mentioned specifically. HT thinks JMW and her have amazing chemistry and compared them to the "power couple" Stephanie and Brooke. SF especially and RM have a rich history at the show, which can continue through their daughter and granddaughter Steffy even without them physically on the screen. SF hasn't wanted to be on screen much lately and RM hasn't really had his own story line. They started one with him being overthrown and it was dropped. Granted Steffy hasn't had her own story line either, but has been the main prop in the Hoiam story line. Plus ratings were record high at the end of January when it was mainly Bill and Steffy with Katie adding the end of month drama. Liam and Hope were props then. SF was only on 3 times in January and RM was 12 out of 22 episodes. JMW and DD were on 18 with SC on 19. |

There are a lot of good actors standing in line waiting to fill those jobs. |

If Hope hadn't dominate the show for over two years we would have airtime for all the other actors that are now fired or just used to talk about Hope! This is utter madness! Hope is the SOLE reason for the mess that is now B&B. That is just your opinion. Hope has as many fans now as Steffy has. Perhaps the boycot was the reason for the mess that B&B is now in trouble. Real fans should never boycot a show if they want it to stay on the air. |

Well, I for one prefer Hope to Steffy...but that is this week. I'm so over this storyline that will never end. I actually just removed B&B from my DVR. I am so sick just reading the spoilers for next week. Hope is late AGAIN and Liam AGAIN believes the worst?! Seriously?! I just cannot take it. I can't take Liam or Steffy right now. This is just ridiculous. I may give it a few months and if it is still on, see what's happening. |

After what she has been doing to Hope, her popularity has plunged. I saw a blog where they said kill Steffy! About time! |
