Thanks, I think I stayed on topic by pointing out that Steffys behavior is typical for this show AND that she isn't the only one to display it. I also answered you question directly by saying YES it's applauded! What I don't understand is why the behavior is just NOW being questioned when it's lauded as destiny in others. I will further add that Liam is his OWN man and until he tells Steffy to stop she has every right to pursue him. If you did not applaud Brooke's behavior, then your point is mute because it is not applauded widely just as Steffy's isn't. My point isn't MOOT because I didn't specify if I applauded it or not. I simply said it was applauded. To this day I see it being applauded AND excused as destiny. I also didn't give the width or breath of the applause. So like I said, IF you didn't applaud it, then your point is MUTE--as in isn't heard. ******* *****OH no !!!! Her point is heard!!! Unfortunately, you are probably the only one who has heard it and the OP is in control of the thread so in order to avoid the unnecessary bickering, it may have been better judgement if Brooke was not brought into this thread. The debate would have been more progressive. Moving forward, Brian, Steffy's behavior is indicative of a woman who is insecure. Some of the tell-tale signs that she has shown are: She is often plagued with doubts about her self-worth and suffers from low self-esteem. Most often, insecurity stems from a basic lack of confidence. A feeling of just not being good enough and not being able to measure up to expectations, more from the woman herself, than from any external source. Steffy is this and her insecurity is displaying a sense of being "needy". She is marked by an obsession with gaining the attention of the opposite sex. Hence, her reason to pursue Bill and now Liam. She has made several attempts to find validation from sources outside of herself. This external search for security manifests itself in two major ways.....A person becomes overly selfish. (Steffy had no respect or regard for Hope or Katie..she pursued their beaus/husband both vehemently). A person becomes overly accomodating. Once again, Steffy extends herself to Liam and chooses it as her primary mode of compensation. An overly accommodating person attempts to gain the approval of other people by bending over backwards for them. She makes herself always available to Liam when he has problems with Hope. Insecure people tend to talk about themselves constantly, as if they feel like they have to prove themselves. Self-promotion is paramount to over-compensation for doubt. This is again Steffy reassuring him that she is better than Hope! Insecure people feel threatened by others. Steffy feels insecure with Hope. In fact, she is threatened by her. Steffy's relationship with Liam if it should materialize will be an unhappy one due to her insecurities. Steffy's trash talking, as well as the undermining of Liam and Hope's relationship, hat tricks, etc. are all last minute ditch efforts to gain the attention from Liam. OMG! you and the OP are SO threatened by Izitjo's intellegence, LOL NO one is in CONTOL of a thread except Addy. This thread is COMPLETELY OPEN to all. Brooke was applauded for all her who*ring and slutty behavior. I will bring her up whenever and wherever I choose. Trinney, you are correct in saying that this thread is open to all posters, but it is not a thread about Brooke, and I don't want it turned into a Bash Brooke thread. I don’t understand the threatened comment because I don’t know why anyone would be threatened by comments by a poster on a MB discussing a soap opera. For me, it’s purely entertainment, and I don’t take poster’s comments personally unless they make it personal and are rude. There are so many intelligent posters on this MB of all fan bases, including Izitjo and GD, but that has nothing to do with feeling threatened and everything to do with staying OT. How can anyone criticize Steffy and still be a Brooke supporter? Steffy is an angle compared to the crap that the slutt pulled. I don't think any Logan fan will want to go tit for tat!! You will lose that contest in the first second! Brooke has always been a sleazy tramp, wasn't she even voted the biggest slutt on daytime TV?  LOL. JasperandJen, you slammed Brooke in this thread, which is clearly not about Brooke, yet you place the comment in quotation marks below in an Open anti-Hope thread. Beckyt, thank you for posting. Comparing another woman’s infractions to Steffy’s is not the focus of the thread. The point is Steffy’s blatant disregard and her track record for atrocious behavior in intruding and attempting to dismantle other's relationships. Her rationale for doing what she does is childish and self-serving, with no thought or care about the lives and relationships she’s trying to destroy. I’m sure there are many who see people in committed relationships that they are attracted to, but they do the right thing and exercise good judgment and restraint and don’t set out on a mission to wreck lives because they want what they want. |
