Quote Jacee Wojo: Quote SheilanMorganFan: I do think Brad Bell was very surprised that Hope has proved to be so unpopular whereas Steffy has many more fans than he expected, but regardless of the facts, he's continuing to stick to his own agenda. It is hurting the ratings, but I believe he will continue to write the stories he wants to write regardless. I think Hope is a lot more popular than you think. I think so too. This assumption that Steffy is the "be all, end all" based on a few polls is getting really old. This isn't any different than the Sami vs. Carrie dynamic from DAYS. Sami was the bad girl that created the drama, Carrie was good and her role was more reactionary. I was still always a bigger Carrie fan because Sami seemed so ruthless. Shoving Sami down my throat all the time eventually made me stop watching DAYS altogether. The same will happen here since I find Steffy absolutely ridiculous. |

Think of all the things Steffy has done she and Bill belong together. They have the chemistry. |

I just had to share the vision I was having of Bradley Bell sitting down in the morning at the breakfast nook with an evil gleam in his eye, a cup of java in one hand, and a pen in the other jotting down all kinds of ways to make Steffy look bad. |

Sometimes we just have to not take everything so seriously, most of all ourselves. Of course I share this as I am sitting at my desk with an evil gleam in my eye, an iced java in one hand, and a pen in the other jotting down all kinds of ways to kill Liam. cue: evil laugh lol, love your post. |

Quote Brownie Blue: I think that what we are seeing is the original story that Bell wrote before he realized that his story was backfiring on him. It is sort of like a run away train already down the tracks before your realize that there are engine problems that need to be fixed. The story is written, at least I think this makes better sense, like the fans are supporting the poor little couple and are finally getting to see Steffy pay for the horrible deed of marrying Liam. Steffy was supposed to be the bad guy here but it didn't work. The fans are much more sympathetic with the wife and not the Logan's. When we saw what all they did to Steffy, how they bullied her, how they tried to force her hand and run her life, we changed our opinion of this whole mess. I actually didn't want Liam and the teenager after I saw how fabulous he was with Steffy and we found out that he wasn't the father to Amber's baby. This is just the story that Bell thought he was building. A big romance with a big fabulous spend thrift wedding and the whole thing is just a fabulous spend thrift flop instead. I agree. Bell has Liam say that Steffy is his best friend and knows him better than any one else. That alone validates Lam and Steffy as a couple. Hope disowns Ridge which most fans were appalled by. That doesn't make Hope the helpless victim. Plus Bell has Hope have a addiction because Hope decided to go against her own values (um, wasn't Ridge telling Hope she needs to live up to her values that caused Hope to disown him?) I think there as been a few change of plans in this sl. |

I have a wonderful male, best friend ever and he knows me better than anyone else, but are we a couple? No way in heck, just very close friends that would do anything for one another, except what Steffy does for Liam. |

I think that Hope is supported by the silent majority and Steffy by the vocal minority, which is usually the way things go |

I've laughed at so many of your posts. I love your sense of humor. Pretty much this how I want to view this message board, with a sense of humor. It's fun to have discussions...but I get to a point, where I just don't feel like bad mouthing characters anymore, with the exception of Liam. I don't think it's Bell's plan to sabotage his cast. Steffy really has the best role in my opinion. She gets to be bad, and that has to be fun for an actor, to be able to branch out with different emotions. She was nominated for crying out loud, that definitely says that she is going in the right direction. |
