i just read on sean kanan twitter.. his reply to a fan who was enraged that his time was cut for B & B. Sean stated that he was signed on for 8 episodes.. so that they could see how his s/l was accepted. He said that he was not upset in the least and does hope that he gets an extension.


I could understand why KKL would not want to "go there" with either Thomas or Deacon on the show... Look how she is treated now because of the storylines she has already been given .... Let me repeat that.... storylines for Brooke.. not KKL's life.

I personally READ that KKL wanted to go further with the OLLIGATE, she WANTED a full blown out affair between the two, she was all for it. It was in an interview or something, but she was quoted.

She liked working with the actor playing Oliver, and thought they had something together, anyway that's what I read.

I really hate those actors feeling that have enough power to dictate the show, and try to put a bushel over the other actors/actress's light... WHO are they to say who can and who cannot SHINE in daytime tv.. How would they have felt is SF and JM had taken that role, being the two seasoned vets and RM and KKL being totally unknown at that point.

They have had their time in the spotlight quit being spotlight HOGS and step aside for the next generation. How totally and uttler insecure and selfish of anyone pulling something as low as that.

Having read Loose Lips once, I found most of his information
came from the B&B Message Board. I have no need to read
his column again. In my opinion if this is where everyone
is getting their information from it is probably heresy.
Who could blame KKL if she refused to put herself in a
position to work with the character of Deacon Sharpe again?
It is her career and who could blame her? Good for the
actress! There is too much male chauvinesm (sp?) on this
show and it is time they stop portraying women in a bad
light.

I think most if not all get the difference between KKL's real life and the story lines for Brooke. The past story lines for Brooke has given KKL the "power" she has now to voice her opinion and try to steer her chacter in the direction she wants. Unfortunately it also has put B&B at a disadvantage if professional writers can't continue to do what they do best bring drama to daytime because certain actors/actress object to direction. If that is what is going on now, then I would say side line them and bring on people that will trust the writers to stretch to the limits the drama because they seem to try to start something big and build up of the the hype and it never lives up to the actual story. If she is uncomfortable with her story lines that made her famous then she should take a back seat to the lead and let someone else become front and center with that type role.[/quote]

Don't you think that should be between the producers and
the actress? They do the hiring and the firing. You have to admit The writer's didn't have a successful s/l with
Steffy/Liam or Hope and she did take a back seat to the
lead. Hmmmm, could that have been the problem? Maybe
the judges didn't like the triangle s/l. For the first
time in three years the B&B did not win an award. When
Brooke was front and center they did win awards.[/quote]

Awards....and ratings......which keeps the show on the air???? I watched those numbers because I wanted to see if KKL could carry BnB all on her shoulders, the way Bell was attempting to by throwing her into EVERY SINGLE sl on the show. And the numbers said, she couldn't and KKL has yet to win ONE daytime award, unless I'm mistaken, she and Susan Lucci, unless Susan has won one by now...

Didn't Susan win the 26th annual Emmy Award after being
nominated 19 times? Was this in 1999? I can't remember
what year that was.
