I love and Liam together, I don't want them to get married. They are so young, I want them to date and Hope to go to college.

Jbutler, yes it was over the top and I don't remember Brooke giving her makeup , shoes, & stockings and Brooke told her " It doesn't matter what you wear, because you are beautiful no matter what." She gave her a different option and Hope should have just stuck by her old T shirt. She seems to be in a rough patch right now, but she will work it out, she is a beautiful and smart young lady

I love Hope but really think she should get her issues resolved.. And stop blaming her mother because her mother has given her a great life and she has been a very privileged young woman, thanks to her Mother.. Her scenes with Liam were a bit over the top and she was acting like any young woman would act, for her first time,.. I know that Brooke did not give her makeup and candles and that other stuff. Like GMR says she just gave her another option... She should have just stuck with her Tee Shirt! But her real issue is that she wants to wait until she is married, so that is what she should have told Liam before she planned the evening with him.....I do not think that Brooke was wrong and Hope should be ashamed of herself for blaming her mother...SMH

I'm going to relate a story that I'm sure has happened to many women.
A girl charges her boyfriend for rape. So, when the boyfriend was asked to tell what happened "Well she and I had this night planned. She was wearing lingerie that I bought her. We started making out and she said she didn't want to do it anymore. She was being a tease."
Now this wasn't exactly what happened to Hope but while people are going "Oh poor Liam, Hope is leading you on" what about how she feels? She feels uncomfortable in that situation and it's like she's selling herself short. She is being pressured from all sides. So what would people want her to do - have sex while she's uneasy and then regret her decision. And suppose she did do it and got pregnant - even though Liam proposed, what would be the real reason for staying - his love or obligation.
I liked Hope and Oliver as well as Liam and Hope. Just reading about that scene shows that Liam doesn't understand Hope as well as I thought he did. Hope did say that she would have sex after she was married (she did tell Brooke). But she almost caved in. And what rule does it say that you need to have sex after you're engaged because people are treating Hope like she's a freak for not wanting to do it when she made up her own mind.
Oliver just seems like the better choice. Truthfully I would have been very happy if Hope and Oliver stayed together but she had moved on to Liam. If he made her happy, then I would be happy with that storyline. Steffy would be so pleased that Liam is just harbouring for sex because it seems that that's the guy she wants. Steffy would have satisfied his carnal desires but Hope would have brought substance to that relationship. She would have taught Liam the meaning of commitment and loyalty. The meaning of loving someone for their personality rather than their body. If Hope and Liam do decide to get married he would have the whole package with her.
I think Oliver would appreciate that more but I don't think it's too late for Liam until he goes after another woman. I'm not going to condemn him for something that has not happened as yet but can he be the man that Hope deserves?

Great Post! I think at this point, Hope would be better off dumping Liam. Hes being two faced. He tells her he understands, yet he complains to Steffy about waiting. Today he ticked me off when he discussed with her the privacy between Hope and him in his bedroom. Honestly, he disrespected her when he talked about it. He could go to his dad or anyone else, but he knows how Hope feels about Steffy. I dont care if he rescued her from drowning, he owes her nothing. He crossed the line discussing his private life with her. Steffy will use this info to break them up. She admitted to not loving Liam yesterday, but here she is chasing him today.

I can't believe Liam used that old don't you want to see if we are sexually compatible routine but I am glad that he didn't pressure her after she repeated she wanted to wait until she was married, but going to the bar for a drink and telling Steffie, bad news!!
Hope was telling Liam about the men coming in and out of her mom's life, didn't Brooke only have Nick & Ridge during that time, what the heck is she talking about. Both Nick & Ridge loved and married Brooke and Nick even wanted to adopt Hope, maybe the writers forgot that we do remember the SLs.

The writers are insulting those of us who have watched this show from the beginning. I wondered what on earth she was talking about as well. As far as I know .. only Nick and Ridge have been in and out of Brookes life after Hope was born. Now the Anti Brooke fans are comparing Brooke to Taylors bar one night stands based on Hopes conversation today.

Maybe she got her confused with Taylor I mean she had the men coming and going during that time . Ridge married her mom when she was very young after RJ was born and then the undead returned and stole her family. Maybe she has listen to too many of gansta grandma's horror stories and started to believe them
