Katie and Henry search Carly's house for the stolen diamond. Mike accuses Jack of protecting Carly. Craig questions Paul about what he did.
At the station, Mike accuses Jack of stalling to protect his wife. Jack says he's not protecting Carly and advises him not to come around telling him how to do his job.
Carly and Sage arrive home. Sage asks her mom if she's mad at Daddy or Simon. She says she mad at everyone but her and her brothers. "What about Mary?" she asks. "No, I'm not mad at Mary."
Carly changes the subject by offering to make Sage a nutritious snack before Jill's "perfect and very organic" mother arrives to pick her up so she can work on her science project with Jill. Sage offers to help.
"No, no, no. I'll work out my frustration stirring that natural peanut butter. You just stay here and relax and pretend you have a nice mom."
"I do," Sage replies.
"Oh, Sweetheart, I love you. I'm so glad you think so. You know, I'm tempted to give you orange soda and pork rines just to see the look on that woman's face."
Sage giggles at her mother's response.
After Carly exits the room, Sage takes the diamond out of her pocket and says, "I wish your magic could make Mommy happy."
Later, Carly comes back and gives Sage her cookies. The phone rings. It's Simon wanting to come over so they can talk. She asks him not to come over, but he continues to beg. She explains that she's busy. He continues to try and convince her to talk with him. Finally, she gives in and says to come on over.
Katie works to convince Henry to break into Carly's house with her, but Henry is reluctant asking for a conceivable reason why he should help her. "To save my marriage," she answers. He says that answer isn't acceptable, because that's why she wants it done not why he would do it. He goes on to say if she wants to save her marriage, she shouldn't have written about sleeping with Simon. Defensive, she says she was just trying to "purge" her guilt.
"Have you heard of the delete key? Purge, delete. Purge, delete," Henry reminds.
"Oh yeah. That's a good one. That's so funny. The worst thing that's ever happened to me just happened and you're making jokes. That's good."
"And you plan robberies."
"Because I want Simon in jail. We steal the diamond, we show it to Jack--Carly and Simon go to jail and I get mike back."
Henry sighs saying her plan is "idiotic." He goes on to ask why he would risk jail time to steal something he doesn't even want. She mentions that she thinks they said there would be a reward of millions of dollars in prize money. Henry changes his tune as he begins maping out Carly's house.
Later, we see Henry and Katie waiting outside Carly's house. The two of them wonder if she's ever going to leave.
Back at Carly's, Jill's mom shows up. She leaves with Sage, and Carly goes back inside to call Simon back. When Simon answers she says she's changed her mind and will meet with him. He asks if she's sure. She confirms saying if they meet in public there's much less chance of her throwing something at him.
After Carly leaves, Henry and Katie work to get into Carly's house. Once inside, they begin their search in the bedroom for the diamond. When they have no luck searching for the stolen diamond, Henry says he gives up. She says they have to do this so Mike will forgive her, but Henry says he wouldn't have anything to forgive if she hadn't written what she wrote. As he continues lecturing her, she finds the diamond in the sofa! She stops him to show him the discovery she just made, then she says, "Oh Simon, you are so going down." With a devious smile, she says now all they have to do is take a trip to the police station.
Barbara and Lucy argue about Lucy wanting to take Johnny to Craig. Barbara goes to the phone to call her attorney, but Lucy notifies her it won't do any good, because she now has legal rights to take Johnny. Lucy warns her if she continues to fight, she'll have Johnny taken away from her and all she'll have is visitation rights. Again, Lucy asks for Johnny, Barbara refuses. Lucy says she'll just have to call the police. She gives in and says she'll bring him over to Fairwinds in two or two and a half hours. Cassandra says that's not acceptable. Ignoring Cassandra Barbara says she'll stay with Johnny to make sure that he has adjusted. Lucy responds, "Nice try, but were taking him with us. Where is he?" "Some place safe," Barbara replies. Lucy notifies Cassandra that he's probably in the rear apartment with his nurse, she instructs her to go and get him.
After Cassandra leaves the room to get Johnny, Lucy whispers to Barbara what is really going on. She tells her everything, including Craig setting Dusty up. She says she must stop her father, but because he's probably watching her this is the only way she can stop him. Then, in tears, she says she'll tell her the same thing she told Dusty, "No matter what happens, what I do, trust me."
They hear a knock at the door, then they hear Craig call for Barbara. Before Barbara answers the door, Lucy reminds her to trust her.
"You won't believe what Lucy just told me," Barbara says as she opens the door.
"Barbara," Lucy responds.
"Your daughter has told me that you plan on attacking me and my competence in court."
"She did?" Craig inquires placing his hand on his chest.
"Yes. And not only did she walk in here and threaten me with calling the cops, she walked in with an attorney, told me you're planning a smear campaign, and clearly enjoyed telling me these things," she replies crossing her arms.
Lucy smiles with relief while Craig says the solution is to allow him time with his son. It appears as if Barbara is going to play along with Lucy.
While Barbara and Lucy continue their act, Cassandra comes down with Johnny, Lucy takes him and they start to leave, but Barbara stops them.
"Barbara, it's over," Craig replies.
She says she just thinks Johnny will be lonely without Winston (a stuffed animal). She hands Winston to Johnny and kisses him goodbye.
At the hospital, Craig tells Paul he has his sympathy for the loss of Meg. Paul informs him it's none of his business. Craig questions Paul about what he did. Paul tells him what he wants to hear. Craig says, "that's good you didn't even flinch." Paul asks what he's going to do--go to the cops? "Nothing, absolutely nothing," Craig answers.
While talking, Craig notices Meg at the nurses' station. He calls her over and reveals that he heard a little bit of their conversation. He goes on to say he overheard that Paul tried to murder him.
After Craig leaves, Meg asks Paul if he thinks he'll keep quite. "Yea," Paul replies. She asks what he thinks Craig wants. "You," he replies. She's surprised, but goes on to ask what he knows. He says he knows about the bullets but not the "pillow thing." Paul goes on to say that he saw the look on her face when Craig was talking about him, "You love me," he says. She admits she still loves him. He explains that he never meant to hurt her. She says she believes him. He says he'll do anything to get her to change her mind about them. "That I don't believe," she sighs. He says it's true, but she says they both know it isn't. She goes on to say she told him "point blank" about how she feels about his violence and hatred toward Craig, then she reminds him that he said she was right, but excused himself then went to try to kill him.
Later, Paul lets Meg know he never meant to hurt her, he says he'll do anything to get her to change her mind about them. She responds that he can't and won't change. He says he can try. "Will you let me try?" "We both know you'll change to get what you want and then you'll change back," she answers. He doesn't understand why she won't give them a second chance. "Don't give up on us," he begs. She expresses that his hatred for Craig is much stronger than his love for her. She goes on to say when Craig pushes one of his buttons she's gone -- "disappeared." Holding his head down, he grins. She asks if he thinks it's funny, but he says no, it's awful. He goes on to say it's amusing to him that her dumping him makes him love her more. She says when he says things like that to her it makes her heart flutter. He says that's good, but she says it isn't and asks him to stay away from her. He admits he can't do that. She says she'll make him, because she doesn't want to end up like Emily.
At Java, Carly tells Simon she's not mad at him, she's mad at herself. Simon says he's had plenty of opportunities to split over the last couple of months, but he's still there. He goes on to say the jewelry theft will be the last crime he'll commit and asks Carly for her forgiveness. She replies that she didn't come there for that, instead she admits she came to tell him off. He lets her know she did tell him off and look where they ended up. She says she didn't intend to end up there, "it's just too complicated you know, there's too much going on," she adds. He suggests they just remember the conversation and "table" it until a less stressful time in their lives. She says life only gets more stressful, not less stressful. He assures her things are going to settle down. Not wanting to continue the discussion, she says she's going to go home to her "empty" house. "Empty," Simon hints. "You really do have a one-track mind," she grins. He says he figures now that they're both going to be law abiding and legit citizens they need to find some other way to pass their time.
Outside the store, Vienna bumps into Mike. She asks where he run off to earlier. He says he dropped by the station to convince Jack to call the prince, but he says Jack just left a message. She explains that the prince doesn't return calls." Mike says he'd bet the prince would return her call. In fact, he says she probably has a private number where she can reach him. She confirms. He asks if she'll call him, but she says she doesn't like to call to give him bad news. He says he believes the trick would be to make sure he directs anger in the right direction. "And we both know where that would be don't we?" she replies, handing him something to hold for her while she makes the phone call.
After hanging up the phone, Mike asks what the prince said. She responds that she thinks Simon's days as a free man are gone! "Good," Mike replies. She takes the opportunity to mention that she thinks it will give him and Katie time to work things out. He says that's not going to happen, but she replies that Katie seems lost without him, and she knows he's still crazy about her.
"I told you it's all over. I just don't want to see Simon get away with highway robbery that's all."
"Oh why, because it offends your sense of right and wrong?"
"Something like that, yea."
"Oh bull Mike, come on. You know you still love your wife."
Back at Carly's, Carly is rummaging through her purse to find her keys. While searching for her keys, Simon tries seducing her. She giggles asking him to wait because she does have neighbors. Meanwhile, on the other side of the door, Katie and Henry are happy because they just found the diamond!
