Meg says she can't marry someone who tried to commit murder! Adam gives Casey the money he needs to pay off his gambling debt. Simon tells Vienna he's not leaving Carly.
Back at Simons, Carly and Simon begin kissing passionately. Unable to control their emotions, they enter Simon's room with thoughts of making out. As they enter, their surprised to find Vienna waiting! "I thought we had an understanding, Simon," Vienna says. The two put on an act in front of Vienna. After their little act, Simon escorts Vienna out in to the hall, asking her to give him some time to talk with Carly.
Once Vienna is out of the picture, Simon and Carly pick up where they left off, but Carly pushes Simon away saying she can't stop thinking about Vienna down the hall. A knock at the door interrupts them. Carly says it must be the champagne he ordered, but it's Vienna! Carly continues her act, begging Simon to stay. Vienna catches on, recognizing it's an act. Finally, Simon tells her he's not leaving Carly, "Not now, not ever," he says. Vienna threatens to tell the prince what he done. Simon advises her to go ahead, because she has no proof! He goes on to say even if she was to succeed who's to say she wasn't involved too. Before leaving, she tells Carly not to get too comfortable. "This isn't over!" she finishes as she walks out the door.
After Vienna leaves, Carly worries about going to jail. Simon re-assures her they're not going to jail. He reminds the proof linking them to the jewels is at the bottom of the river.
At Casey's dorm room, Adam agrees to give Casey the money he needs, but before he does, he lectures him, and requests that he promise not to do anymore online gambling. Hesitantly, Casey agrees.
After stuffing the check in his pocket, Casey informs Adam what he really wants to do is get Gwen's demo out there, because he says the sooner it's out there the sooner he can pay him back. He reminds him that the fact it's a demo doesn't mean there are any guarantees. He goes on to say Gwen has a lot of potential. Casey confronts Adam about hooking up with Jade, Gwen's worst enemy. Adam orders him to stay out of his business with Jade and advises him to call Gwen.
At the hospital, Craig informs Lucy that she saved his life. Craig says he knows he's not perfect, but he's never shot someone. He goes on to say it takes a very cold heart to do that. "I get it Dad, you hate Dusty," Lucy shouts in anger. Craig asks if she's seen him since the shooting. "Once," she replies. He says now that Dusty is going to jail he's certain the courts will grant him custody of Johnny, then he asks Lucy to come live with them. Lucy refuses saying she has to go. Before she leaves, Craig asks her to promise she'll think about it.
After Lucy leaves, Emily comes in. Craig asks her if she stopped the wedding. "I wouldn't worry about Meg and Paul getting married anytime soon," she answers. Craig lets Emily know she has a clear road to Paul now, but Emily says she doesn't want Paul anymore. Craig snorts. She informs him she's serious. She's done! No more back sliding. "I'm done with anyone who tries to manipulate me like that. Which means I'm done with you," Meg shocks Craig. He reminds her they had a deal. "It's not my fault you don't want to claim your prize," he adds.
"Well you certainly got yours," Meg says.
"Alright, I wanted a bullet in the chest and seven hours of surgery."
"No. No. You wanted Dusty to pull that trigger, and you got it. When I switched those bullets, it gave you courage to go in that parking lot and threaten Dusty to the point where he lost control. You set him up, and now Dusty's going to rot in prison for the rest of his life, and you get to keep his son!" she harks back, not noticing Lucy listening at the door.
At the Snyder's, everyone is waiting for Meg to join Paul. Instead of walking down the aisle, Meg approaches Paul. "Tell me Paul. Tell me why my life just ended?" she questions.
Alone, Meg instructs Paul to tell her the truth, and warns him not to lie to her on their wedding day. He says the truth is he loves her and would do whatever he has to in order to protect their happiness. She asks if he followed Emily to the parking lot. He says Emily doesn't matter, and the only reason she came was to fill her head full of doubts. Ignoring his response, she asks about the bullets. Paul asks if she's going to take Emily's word over his. He says she's crazy, she has no evidence, and she can't prove a thing! "I can. I was there. I saw everything," Meg retorts. He asks where she saw him. She says at the hospital in Craig's room. He says he explained all that to her. She asks, "But you weren't trying to talk to Craig, you were trying to smother him. Weren't you? When Paul doesn't answer, she says she'll take that as a yes, and goes on to say its safe to assume that he put the bullets in the gun!
"Meg," Paul responds.
"Yes or no?" Meg asks, searching for the truth.
Paul confirms, spilling the whole truth! He goes on to say when switching the bullets didn't work he tried to smother Craig. He says he's tired of Craig trying to hurt people, and he doesn't want him hurting her. He explains that he swore to Jennifer he wouldn't let Craig hurt Johnny. Meg interrupts saying Jennifer is rolling over in her grave, but Paul doesn't believe that. She tells him he doesn't know his sister then, because she was gentle, kind and loving. He says Jennifer, on her deathbed, made he and Dusty promise they would never let Craig lay his hands on Johnny. She's outraged, saying because they couldn't think of any other way to stop Craig they resorted to violence, and now Dusty will go to jail and Craig gets Johnny! "Only if he survives," Paul says. Meg asks if he hears his self. He confirms saying he would do anything for his sister. "Even commit murder?" she asks. He doesn't answer, but the look on his face tells her he would.
Angry, Meg turns and heads for the door! As she opens the door, she finds Holden standing there. "Are you okay," Holden asks. She confirms, saying she's glad he's there, but instead of filling him in she apologizes for the delay, and says she'll be right down. Holden senses something is wrong and asks her about it. She says, "Just give me two minutes. Thank you for being such a good brother."
Once Holden leaves, Paul is relieved she didn't tell Holden. She says she won't tell anyone. When he asks why, she says because she still loves him.
"And I love you too."
"That's what's so sad… that two people who love each other so much can never be together."
Confused by her response, Paul suggests they go down stairs and get married, but Meg refuses. She says she can't marry someone who tried to commit murder, someone who tried to smother an injured man in his own bed!
"Okay look, we have a different approach when it comes to Craig…"
"Approach, Paul! You tried to commit murder twice. No, I can't marry you. I can't even look at you."
As she starts to walk away, Paul gently grabs her arm, but she pulls away.
Fighting back tears she says, "I can't see you, and I don't want to hear from you. We're over. Goodbye," Meg says rushing out the front door!
In the living room, Gwen's phone rings. It's Casey asking if she can come over. She explains it's not a good time. Casey hands Adam the phone. Gwen tells Adam she's at a wedding and can't come right now, but Will, overhearing that it's Adam, encourages Gwen to go. She agrees to meet Adam at Casey's dorm room.
Later, Gwen arrives at Casey's dorm to speak with Adam. She suggests they go to her room to talk.
In Gwen's dorm room, Adam apologizes for what happened at the studio saying it was a mistake and won't happen again. "So, no more Jade," she inquires. He answers saying no more using the studio as "home away from home." He goes on to say whether he's with Jade or not, it's not her call. She agrees, but says she can't help how she feels about her. Adam says he doesn't blame her, but he says that in the music business she'll have to deal with people she doesn't like, but it will all be up to her; what she wants. She questions Adam wanting to know why everything is always up to her. Adam explains that everything comes down to her. Finally, she agrees to give it another shot.
After Adam leaves, Elwood arrives at Casey's dorm asking him if he got the money. Casey confirms. Elwood's pleased, saying now he can pay back what he owes. Casey says he could double his money. He suggests signing over the check to Elwood. Elwood doesn't like the idea, but Casey says he's feeling lucky. Reluctantly, Elwood gives in letting Casey sign the check over to him.
After signing over the check, the two of them begin playing poker on their laptops. When Casey hears Adam at the door, he quickly closes both laptops. Adam enters informing Casey that Gwen is back on board. Casey says the sooner they get Gwen to the top of the charts the sooner he can pay him back, but Adam tells him not to worry about the money. Before Adam leaves, Casey thanks him with a hug.
Back at the Snyder's, Gwen returns and delivers the good news to Will; Jade overhears. Will is happy, telling her she made a good decision.
"So, what did he say? How did he convince you?"
"It doesn't matter. I just got to keep my eye on what I want and hold on to it," she replies with a hug and kiss.
Next on As the World Turns…
"Vienna is not going to go to the police, she's bluffing," Simon says to Carly.
"I would like to report a robbery," Vienna tells Jack.
Lucy reveals to Dusty that Craig set him up!
