    The World's Biggest Chump.

    Wednesday, February 17 2010
Alison and Casey split up, Jack tells Carly that he wants her and Mick hovers near death.

Casey finds Ali outside of Mick's room. "You can't stay away from him can you?" he asks. She begs Casey not to hate her. She doesn't know how to apologize enough. He says that she chose Mick; he's the man she's been dreaming of. "Don't let this cancel out our whole relationship," she says. He storms away and she runs after him.

Paul wakes up in a hospital bed and begs Emily to tell him that Mick is dead. He's not. Paul wants Mick to pay, though Emily thinks he was just another victim of James'. She asks her husband to focus on getting better, then kisses him and walks off to take a call. Paul instantly climbs out of bed and gets on some crutches.

Paul hobbles down the hall to Mick's room. He knows that he was likely just James' pawn but he will still never forgive him. He reaches for the plug. Mick opens his eyes and motions for him to do it. "With pleasure," Paul says... but he won't do it because dying would be the easy way out for Mick. He hobbles out.

Alison chases Casey down at Java to apologize again and repeat that she loves him. He asks her for details about her affair. She admits that she slept with Mick in the church where they were supposed to get married. That makes things worse. "I feel like the world's biggest chump," he says, storming off again.

When Casey goes home, Alison is there, packing so she can move out. She thinks she's proven that she's not up to being a Hughes. "Welcome to my world," he says. Before she leaves, he wonders if everything just moved too fast. They soften for a moment. A nurse calls and tells Ali that Mick has just taken a turn for the worse. She takes off her ring and places it on the table before walking out. "Well Grandma, it looks like you're getting you ring back," he says with a sad laugh.

Paul has returned to his room. He tells Emily what just happened with Mick. He couldn't kill him because he likes what his life is now and doesn't want to risk it. "I might actually turn into someone I like eventually," he says.

Alison goes into Mick's room. She tells him that he's a good person and she wishes she could have helped him more... but she's no one's savior. He flatlines. She kisses his face and his pulse returns.

At the farm house, Janet walks Jack out the door. When she goes into the kitchen, she finds Liberty reading the list of possible bone marrow donors. "Am I dying?" Liberty asks. "The cure can be worse than the disease," Janet tells her, before explaining that the donor is just a precaution.

Liberty and Janet arrive at the hospital. An orderly tells them that they are suspending chemo for now because her counts are too low. Janet tries to put a positive spin on it but Liberty is sure this is bad.

When Liberty returns home, she pretends to be Janet and calls the hospital to see if any of the potential donors were matches. None were.

Craig and Carly meet at the Lakeview and go over their plan for a business meeting. He needs her to pretend that she likes him. She's confused so he explains that their investor thinks they are a couple. When the investor arrives, Carly acts flirty and kisses Craig. As soon as the investor walks off, Jack catches them kissing and demands to know what she is doing. Carly drags Jack off and orders him to get off his high horse. He knows he has no right to be jealous but he is anyway. They bicker. She needs this for her business. "Why does it have to be with Craig?" he whines. She tells him he has no say in her life and asks him to leave her alone. Jack says she knows he's right. After he leaves, she returns to Craig. She tells him he went overboard with the kiss. He says it's worth it if they're back in business. She walks off. The investor returns and says that Carly is too much trouble.

Carly goes to see Jack at the station and they bicker about the scene he made. She says he's not the only one who is jealous; she's jealous of Janet. He worries about Craig. "You go home to your wife at night and I'm alone," she points out. He tells her that he wants her and they begin kissing. Liberty starts knocking on the door. Carly hides. Liberty comes in and explains what happened today. He assures her that they can still find a donor. She's worried about breaking the news to her mother that no donor has been found. After they leave, Carly asks herself what she's doing.

Back at the farm house, Janet calls to check on the results. They tell her there is no match. She calls for her daughter. Liberty and Jack walk through the door. They tell her the news and Janet assures her that all is not lost. When Liberty goes upstairs, Janet admits to Jack that she's never been more scared. He thinks she should reach out to her family. "It's been so many years..." she says, worrying about seeing them again. She's tired and wants a nap. Jack tells her he has to go back to work.

Carly shows up at Craig's and tells him she wants to go out for an expensive dinner to celebrate. Craig lies and tells her that their investor came through.

Next on As The World Turns:

Jack tells Carly that he can't get her out of his mind.

Janet tells Dusty she's running out of options.

    Dusty tracks down Janet's relatives.

Lily suspects something more happened between Damian and Holden on the docks.

Holden tells Molly he's turning himself in.

I hope Mick makes it so him and Allison can be together. I am hopping they do surgery on his brain to find a chip in his head the same one that was in Paul's head. I never like Allison with Casey but I like her with Mick. Besides he's a hottie. When will they let CarJack get back together he never ever should have married Janet. I have never liked her and she needs to be with Dusty. Notice how she isn't ashamed or have remorse for sleeping with Dusty. I have when she says that she's married and took vows. They obviously don't mean anything. All in all I think they need give Paul and Emily a baby to replace the one they lost. Is Meg ever going to get out of the nut house? Will Paul give her the baby back?

Uh..bone marrow registries are nationwide. Why would there be a list of them? And does Janet ever shut up about how she's freaking out? She needs some pills and a support group before everyone votes her out of the family.

I am sick of Janet, constantly giving Jack that wounded look when she is the cheater, not Jack. I thought Liberty's storyline was ending since actress is leaving, but now I see that another actress will take her place. I am sorry that Liberty has leukemia but I cannot stand the Janet and Liberty characters. I was hoping that they are gone before the show disappears. They are both so needy and constanly running to the Synders, Jack and Parker and messing up their lives.

abc66soap, Jack has been having an emotional affair with Carly, his ex-wife and mother of his child. Who wouldn't be insecure with all that history? Jack ALWAYS goes back to Carly. When his brother died, who was able to reach him in the midst of his anguish--NOT his wife, but his ex--his past. I can't blame Janet for sleeping with Dusty, she was tired of being 2nd and here was a man who seemed to care about her...and she was drunk.
I do agree with you about Liberty though. That girl is so confused, sick or not.
Poor Craig...he could make Carly happy. I really like Carly with Holden, but I know she belongs with Jack.

Tired of Alison and her drama(s). It would have been awesome to hook Mick and Barbara up...oh well.

Hmmmm....methinks Molly knows more about what happen to Damian than Holden does...after all, she is a bit of a psycho too....

    I can't stand Emily with Paul...ack!

Please...please...No more baby or brainwash storylines for a while.... PLEASE!!!

Can not wait for Saint Janet to get busted with Dusty...

I wish Dusty would come rescue me....

    Have a good day all♥

No matter how bad Jack might have been acting, he did shoot and kill his brother, that would tend to mess one up, he got no support from Janet on that from the very beginning, she let her smart mouthed daughter call the shots on that one. She sided with Liberty because her dad had just been killed, she needed just a little of that to give to Jack since he is the one that shot and killed her dad!! Did that happen, no, Janet did not even go after him. Has nothing to do with Carly helping him, Janet should have done it. All that he has done, he has NOT had sex outside his marriage, Janet cannot say the same! You might not blame Janet for sleeping with Dusty, but she is to blame and she will answer for it soon and that is good enough for her. What bust her is she cannot stay away from Dusty...where is that good christian woman, the one that does not believe in divorce,(but must believe in adultry) she is doing her level best to get a divorce, since she just will not stay away from Dusty.....funny thing about that, most peoples spouse just do not take to you having sex with someone other than them! This is certainly one instance, where you should practice what you preach!

Man, I'm still really upset that Casey and Ali are not together. They are both so stubborn...this happens with them all of the time. They both want the same thing but neither will speak up and say so. Now Casey is really hurt and his male ego will completely get in the way. I will really be mad if they don't find a chip and a purpose for the flashy thingy. We need an explanation. I don't care what Alison says....I still think she was hypnotized by James/Mick. It's a shame they had to re-do the storyline due to time constraints. There are too many holes in this story. I want more answers.

On another note, Janet is more self-centered than any mother I've ever seen! As usual, her concern was for herself when Jack brought up her parents as a possible bone marrow match. And, the look on her face when she suggested they go upstairs for a 'nap'. She seemed to be testing whether or not he was up for it...when she's the one that said 'no' last time.

    *********SPOILER ALERT**********

Someone posted a while back that Janet was going to suggest to Jack that they have a baby. She would do THAT before contacting her parents!??? Geeze. (I guess this isn't a spoiler if someone already posted it...but, I thought I should put it up there anyway.) Also, I really wish she'd come clean about Dusty to Jack. It will go so much more smoothly for Carly that way...and Jack can stop torturing her and be with her openly.

Final note...what a snake Craig is. 'The investor came through.' What a liar. He makes my skin crawl.

Posted by Blesseddiva at Wednesday, February 17 2010 01:31 PM

Jack shot his brother while he was drunk. I am sure people would like to think he wasn't impaired but he shot into a blind situation because he had been drinking!!Janet slept with Dusty because she was vulnerable and she had been drinking...See what too much alcohol can lead to!

It is still hard that Jack turned to his ex-wife in his time of need. Janet was caught between a rock and hard place when Brad died.
I will agree Janet did commit adultery amidst her "religious" rants about Liberty's baby. But Emotional adultery can be just as damaging.

Carly left her kids to go running after Jack, but Janet had to stay because 1) Jack didn't want to talk to her or want her help 2) she had to tend to Liberty who was pregnant and grieving.

Jack has been chasing Carly since Craig arrived. He is still cheating on her now...kissing Carly. Plus, Jack WANTS to be with Carly so it doesn't matter what Janet does because he is only with her until Liberty gets better. When Jack leaves Janet, it won't be because of Dusty, it will be because he really wants to be with Carly and this gives him an out!

Posted by Lara Kroft at Wednesday, February 17 2010 01:35 PM

Janet not only slept with Dusty, but emotionally she cheated with him. Instead of talking to Jack (about Liberty's illness, ect.), she talked to Dusty. She is hanging onto Jack for dear life, when she knows it's over between them. Maybe they won't try to have a baby for bone marrow. Hopefully, a relative will provide the bone marrow. I like the actor that plays Craig. I wish he had been a new character then I wouldn't mind Carly being with him. Jack treated Carly like dirt. In reality, she shouldn't forgive him, but move on. Since ATWT is going off the air in September, I want Carly and Jack to reunite. I want Janet with Dusty. I hope Rosanna comes back before the show goes off the air. If Meg gets serious therapy, she'll get released and hopefully, focus on Eliza. I knew Allie and Casey would break up when the truth came out. They need to reunite her with Chris or find a new character. I hope Mick dies. Tom P. is a great actor, but I've had enough of Mick and this stupid storyline.

Posted by Blesseddiva at Wednesday, February 17 2010 01:58 PM

What about Holden? do you guys like him better with Molly or with Lily? I don't know, I really liked Damien with the new Lily. She was just pathetic enough to deserve his version of love.

I never liked Alison with Casey...but I don't like Alison with anyone...well, I actually like her with Mick the Freak, but her character just doesn't make great chemistry with a lot of males on that show. Casey is just a screw up who doesn't know which way is up or down. He needs to figure out who he is and what he wants to do. They don't let felons go to pass the Character and Fitness part of the Bar. So even if they let him into law school, they can't let him be admitted to the bar due to his felony. Besides, as Tom's son, there would be so much pressure for him to be spectacular. He should go and find out what the world has for him...away from Tom & Margo.
