A funeral is held for James, Adam wants to own up to his crimes, and the Hughes household is still torn apart by Adam.

Tom tells Casey that he is happy that he has another chance with Adam, but he is still upset that Margo was forced to help him. Tom believes that Adam needs to live up to his words and prove that he has changed.

Adam apologizes to Alison for lying to her, but swears he wants to live a better life. She wonders who he plans to live as, Adam or Riley. He claims he has changed, but she thinks he is still messed up. Adam asserts that he lied for his mom, but Alison thinks he should face the consequences of what he did to Maddie and Gwen.
James's attorney meets with Audrey in the Lakeview lobby. She promises Henry will come through for them and they will be rich.

Henry dresses for James's funeral, but Vienna is still worried about his obsession with the money and orders him to make a choice. Henry assures her that he will always choose her. Audrey arrives and thinks they should all go to the funeral together for the reading of the will. Audrey informs them that Paul invited them all to a reception at Fairwinds.

Barbara asks Margo why the police didn't order an autopsy for James. Barbara thinks there is foul play involved. Margo assures her that the police will take care of it, but Barbara thinks it is too late. Margo goes with Barbara to the funeral home and they are aghast to learn James was already embalmed. The funeral director informs them that Paul put in a special request to speed up the process.

Paul meets with a caterer to throw a party for James. He tells Emily he wants James in the ground and then to dance on his grave. Barbara barges in and tells Paul he has ruined any chance he had to get James's money. Paul doesn't care how James died, he just wants to celebrate that James is dead. Barbara thinks they deserve something for all the suffering James put them through.

Henry, Vienna and Audrey all arrive at the funeral home. Barbara, Paul and Emily show up to see if James is really dead. Barbara sticks a pin in James and Paul remarks, "He's really dead this time." No one wants to say anything nice about James, but Audrey puts on a show and cries over James's body while everyone looks on in horror. Barbara jumps up and orders her to stop because she killed him. A catfight escalates and Audrey says, "You really want to fight?" Barbara retorts, "Bring it!" The two fist fight over James's coffin as Paul laughs in the background! They eventually are torn apart and Audrey calls the attorney and says, "It's show time."

Casey and Alison catch up at the hospital and he relays how torn up his family still is over Adam. Alison is sorry for the position Tom is in. Casey hopes that their marriage can survive. Alison admits that Adam came to see her and apologize, but she told him to forget it.

Adam goes to see Margo at work and tells her he doesn't want her to lie for him anymore. Margo tells him she is happy to, but he tells her he is turning himself in! Margo thinks Tom is just in shock, but everyone will come around. Adam thinks she is fooling herself and asks her to lie for him one more time. She cries and hugs him. Margo leaves and calls for Officer Carlton. She informs him that Riley is Adam Munson and he has warrants out against him and must arrest him. As the officer takes Adam away, she sadly walks over to Hal's picture and asks what happened to their son.

Vienna and Henry go to Fairwinds. Paul makes a toast to the demise of James Stenbeck. Barbara thinks the worst thing James ever did was try to make Paul hate her. Emily thinks James would have killed her if Paul had not saved her. Audrey enters with the attorney for the reading of the will. The will leaves everything to Henry. Paul states he hopes he will be happy with it. Barbara claims it won't hold up in court. After the Coleman clan leaves, Paul asserts that Emily is the most important thing in the world to him. An angry Barbara storms off. Paul asks if Emily is finally agreeing to marry him. Emily tells him she was so impressed that he didn't go after the money and the curse is over. She agrees to marry him!

Margo goes to Java and tells Casey and Alison that Adam has turned himself in. Casey wonders if they will be okay, but Margo says that Adam is keeping their cover-up a secret.
Tom goes to the police station. Adam tells him he can only be a man if he owns up to everything, but begs Tom to keep Margo and Casey out of trouble. Tom tells him he will have to think about it. As he leaves, Adam says, "Dad, I'm sorry."
On the hospital rooftop, Alison thinks it is great that Casey doesn't have to lie anymore. Casey is annoyed that Adam always comes out looking like the hero. Alison points out that he is going to prison, but Casey is scared the damage to his family is permanent.

Audrey follows Henry and Vienna to the Lakeview and wants Henry to write a sworn statement that she gets all the money. Henry says they will do things on his terms. Vienna is upset that he is having second thoughts. Henry boasts that Henry Stenbeck will turn Audrey in, but she tells him he can't get rid of her that easily. Henry then tells Vienna he is choosing both her and the money, but she says it is cursed and will ruin their lives!

Tom returns home and tells Margo he knows what has to be done. She asks where they stand. Tom points out they have lied to one another before and there is only so much one person can take. Tom is upset she didn't trust him. Margo admits she had hoped Tom would be happy Adam was alive and come through for his son. She then wonders if he loves Adam less because he is Hal's son. Tom thinks it is a complicated situation. She cries that she has made mistakes, but it's over and Adam going away is a big enough price to pay. Tom embraces her.
