Lucy has a delivery problem, Meg plays up to Paul, Alison gets Casey a job and Jade gets busted.
Meg and Paul are playing with Eliza. He says that since Eliza is better Meg needs to leave! She tries to convince him that they need to stay together for the baby but he won't listen. He tells her to go to Dusty and when she says they are over, he admits that he broke them up! Meg accuses him of setting everything up – and lying to the caseworker! Paul insists that he told the caseworker the truth. Meg says she won't take Dusty back and they decide to go to The Lakeview for lunch.

Jade is nervously wandering around Old Town when Casey sees her. She brings up their affair and defends her actions again, telling him that taking money for something she wanted – him! – was just business. He can't believe her. Casey notices that Jade seems jumpy and asks what is going on. She asks if he can get her some pot (marijuana)! Casey angrily turns on her, reminding her of Mark and Elwood's drug issues. They argue and Casey storms off. Jade sits down with a strange guy and asks him for drugs! He arrests her!
Alison bumps into Bob and Nancy at the hospital. Nancy is giving Bob a hard time about letting the senior's bus driver go; he says there was no choice and reminds Nancy of the hiring freeze. Alison says she has a solution! She asks them to give her a minute and leaves. She calls Casey and they agree to meet at Java.

Lucy and Johnny are having dinner with Dusty at The Lakeview. They have a good time and then Lucy asks Dusty to meet her for a movie later. She and Johnny leave. Dusty gives the waiter a big tip and then spots Meg and Paul coming in with Eliza. He quickly leaves and Paul goads Meg about him. She doesn't respond. Meg tries to take Eliza to change her but Paul stops her, saying he doesn't trust her! Meg leaves her bag as a sign of trust and hurries into the hall. Dusty is there and warns her that she is playing with fire! He says Paul won't fall for her plans; Meg insists she has no ulterior motives, she is just trying to stay in Eliza's life. Dusty doesn't believe her. "Being at Fairwinds reminded me of how I wanted things to be," she says. "One day, when he trusts me, we'll be a family." Dusty grabs her, saying he won't let her sacrifice him. She tells Dusty to back off as Paul comes in and tells him to get lost. Lucy returns and leaves with Dusty. Paul turns on Meg, telling her that he doesn't believe her act. Meg insists she was not acting; she insists she is just trying to get her family back and storms into the bathroom with Eliza.

At Java Alison tells Casey that she has a solution to his community service – and college – problems: driving the senior bus for the hospital! Casey likes the idea of working closely with Alison but doesn't like the senior citizen aspect and paperwork involved. Alison insists he is perfect for the job. "And you'll be helping your great-grandmother," she says. Casey asks how much they will see each other. She says he'll impress the Oakdale U dean. He tries to kiss her but she pushes him away, challenging him to take the job. Casey gives in.

The cop hauls Jade to the police station where Alison takes over. She asks Jade what is going on; Jade insists that the cop tricked her but Margo sides with her officer. She tells Jade about the surveillance camera and Jade breaks down, telling her the truth. Margo threatens jail time and demands to know what is going on with Jade. She tells Margo about her tough life – the crazy ex-boyfriend, Derek the no-account father and the fact that no one will hire her. Then she brings Casey into it, saying the possibility of having him for a boyfriend was the only bright spot in her life. She begs Margo to keep this from Derek. Margo says she'll drop the charges – if Jade does her a favor! She tells Jade that community service is the only option; Jade hates the idea but has no choice. Margo tells Jade to start at the hospital. After Jade leaves Margo calls Bob to smooth the way for Jade. Bob is happy to accept another volunteer, especially with Margo's recommendation. Margo says this is exactly what Jade needs to turn her life around.
Alison and Casey return to the hospital. They find Nancy and Casey excitedly tells her that he is going to help organize the seniors and drive the bus. Nancy is thrilled with the turn of events. Bob comes in and says Jade is going to help, too! Casey and Alison are not thrilled; neither is Jade. Jade and Casey don't want to work together but Bob orders them to work out their differences. He leaves. Casey tells Jade to get another volunteer job but she refuses. He storms out, saying he'll find something else to do. Alison follows him. Jade tries to leave, too, but Nancy won't let her. "You volunteered, now get to work!" Nancy exclaims!
In Old Town Dusty tries to figure out what is going on with Meg. Lucy points out that Meg didn't look unhappy with Paul. Cesar calls Lucy about a problem at the docks. Upset, she tells him to stay there and hurries away from Dusty. He stops her and Lucy tells him her medicine contact is demanding another $50,000 or he won't deliver the supplies! Dusty tells her not to cave in to the blackmail and swears that he'll help her. She doesn't want to involve him but he won't back down. They leave for the docks together.
Alison follows Casey to Java, telling him that he can't give up on the volunteer situation and can't keep running away from his problems. Casey says he can't work with Jade because of the past. Alison doesn't like the idea, either, but convinces Casey that he has to work with bad people from time to time. She plays the school card again and Casey leaves.

Meg and Paul return to Fairwinds. Paul continues to be cold with her. Meg emotionally says she wants her family but Paul refuses to listen. She leaves but Paul stops her when he says the baby has another fever! Meg checks Eliza and says this could be a normal recovery issue. She says they need to keep Eliza home and quiet for a few days. She suggests a tepid bath and they go upstairs. After the bath they laugh about Eliza making a mess in the tub. Paul reaches out to her, caressing her shoulder. He hands her a towel. He says one of the other suites has more space but Meg insists on staying near Eliza. He takes her bag upstairs. "You can do this. For Eliza," Meg whispers when she is alone.
Lucy and Dusty arrive at the docks. Dusty confronts the shipper and demands that he stick to the original agreement – or he'll disappear for good! The man gives in and starts loading the ship. They argue about Lucy's work but she won't give in.
Casey returns to the hospital and says he'll work with Jade. Casey is taken aback when Jade and Nancy say they've come up with some great ideas. Casey sits down with them. He goes into the hall a while later and tells Alison this is horrible. She says he can handle it and gives him a cupcake. He feeds her a little of the cake – and then kisses her!
Bob meets with Margo at Al's. Margo can't believe that Bob put Casey and Jade together and worries what will happen now. Margo insists that Casey needs influences like Allie in his life, not Jade. Bob advises Margo to let Casey figure this out on his own.

Lucy and Dusty return to The Lakeview. He tells her to come to him if anymore problems come up. She insists there won't be a next time and Dusty laughs. She thanks him for helping; he says he'll always help her.
