Why do so many people have problems with a gay relationship on ATWT? What's the big deal? I am actually really surprised to see that it bothers so many viewers.

If people are concerned about 'how far they will take it', I highly doubt that they would show 2 men in bed or anything like that. Is that what people are concerned about?

Now I know some people might start to get very defensive over my question and think I am being judgmental - I am not. I am just REALLY curious about why this storyline bothers people.

Would love to hear your opinions!

BTW: This is not the first time ATWT has had a gay character on the show. In the 80's Barbara had an assistant named Hank that was gay & had AIDS (actually pretty gutsy in the 80's).

What's wrong with a gay relationship on a soap opera. You have cousins sleeping together, brothers and their fathers switching wives. You all are making it seem like being gay is dirty and evil. Grow up!!

No to the Luke and Noah story. No way do you need to bring this to a very good family type show. Please do not stop me from watching after all these years.

Gay people have the same rights as you and I. However, whether you are gay or straight, I don't want to see your very personal life spread across my television screen. I think this is just a little too much for daytime.

Being gay is not normal. The ones who think is is should grow up. I's an older adult and I won't watch you turn one of my favorite shows into filth. There are other good shows on.

dwebster - you wrote 'Gay people have the same rights as you and I. However, whether you are gay or straight, I don't want to see your very personal life spread across my television screen.'

Aren't soaps all about personal lives?

    Did I misunderstand your comment?

They should keep the Luke and Noah story-line. It's about time they play into a Gay storyline. Time to change the face of daytime. I'm happy to see something different on TV.

Kids should be watching cartoons not soap operas.
