    Tom Returns Home

    Monday, January 22 2007
Tom doesn't seem thrilled about his new diet, but he enjoys the breakfast that has been prepared for him. Margo confronts Casey about failing Math. Meg loses a patient.

At the cabin, Paul finds a picture of Meg, glances at it, places it in the fireplace, and then pulls it back out. He hears a knock at the door. When he answers, he finds Parker. Parker expresses that he was right, because his mom is gone. He asks how he knew she was going to escape. Paul says he doesn't know. "Can you tell me if she's ever coming back?" Parker asks. "You want the truth, Parker? I'll tell you the truth." He goes on to say the truth is he don't know when his visions are coming, they just come. He says he doesn't want to see the things he sees, and he doesn't want to know the things he knows. "Why not?" Parker asks. "Because, if you try and change what's suppose to happen nobody even thanks you for it, and you're just a bigger freak than you were the day before." He says isn't that cool knowing stuff other people don't? "I don't think so," he answers. He goes on to say he thinks knowing those things makes a lot of hurt. "What if you can't stop them… the visions?" "Oh, I'll stop them. I have to, or else I have no reason to be alive."

At the hospital, while writing in a patient's chart, Meg flashes back to the last time she seen Paul. During her flashback, her patient crashes! She yells code blue and begins CPR! The doctor and Meg work to bring the patient back, but it doesn't work. "Time of death… 10:15," the doctor says. Bob comes in and asks what happened, but she says she doesn't know. "She was stable," she adds. Bob says that sometimes complications occur. He says he'll notify her family.

Margo, Adam and Maddie fix Tom a healthy welcome home breakfast. Margo informs them that Casey pulled up right behind them, so she says she's going to go get the groceries.

Outside, Casey meets her at the door with the groceries and mail. After sorting through the mail, she asks if that's all of it. He confirms, but she notices an envelope sticking out of his back pocket and grabs it. She asks him what it is, and he says it's a CD offer from Crash. "It's a good thing I'm not the one who just got over a heart attack," she says, after opening the envelope. It's not a CD offer from Crash! It's his grades, and she can’t believe he's failing Math! She says he use to do so well in Math. He says the teacher was lousy, and he'll do better when gets another teacher. She says she doesn't get it, because Maddie said he studied so hard this semester. "I did," he replies. "But where is it, uh? I'm not asking you to get on the Dean's list, but Case." He says he'll do better. She reminds him his dad doesn't need this kind of stress. He asks if they can't sit on the grades for a couple days, but she says eventually he's going to find out. "But not today right?" "No, not today," she says. "Alright, thanks."

At Katie's, Katie asks Mike if he's sure--deep down--that he's really forgiven her. "Of course I forgive you. I wouldn't be in this if I didn't," he answers. She brings up having a baby, but he says he thinks they should wait. She explains how lonely it was when she was little and didn't have a mom. He says life isn't perfect, and says she should have saw Jack after Carly left. "Is that what this is about? Do you think we're going to end up like Jack and Carly?" She goes on to say if that's what he thinks then he should just walk out the door. He says it isn't about Jack and Carly, it's making sure this is right. When she asks what he's trying to say, he says he loves her and this is where he wants to be, but it's going to be hard to have the same trust he had before. She asks how they'll know when the time is right. "We'll love each other the same everyday, and when the time is right we'll know," he replies.

At the Snyder farm, Brad calls Carly a lying, cheating tramp! When he sees it upset his brother, he says he gets it, Carly's off limits. He clarifies that she's not off limits. He just wants the kids to feel comfortable talking about her when ever they want, but he says they don't need somebody bashing her. He says he's not bashing her. He's just saying she hasn't changed much since. Jack asks when he thinks he's going to get back to his factory job. He says it depends on how much help he needs around there. He says he can take care of his own kids. "I get it, I get it, alright. You know, you feel like punching someone," Brad responds. "I feel like punching you actually." "Look, I'm not the one you're mad at. Carly's the one that checked out on you. I didn't dump three kids on you, she did." He says he's nuts if he thinks he can just show up and expect Emma to take care of him. He says he came to help with the kids. "I guess it can't hurt to have another pair of hands around here to help," Jack admits.

Soon after, they hear Vienna call out. She enters the room catching Brad's attention. After Jack introduces them, he tells her he thought she was going back to the prince, but she says he banished her from the kingdom. Brad says she can trust him, but Jack doesn't believe it’s a good idea. Brad says they can't throw her out with no place to go. She begs Jack to stay. He says if Emma says its okay she can. "I'm sure she would. I'm going to go upstairs and unpack," she replies, giving him a peck on the cheek. After she leaves, Brad comments on how her face can make a man's troubles disappear. "Or they can make them worse," Jack replies. "Hey, don't let one experience get you down. Not every woman turns out to be Carly." "How many times do I got to tell you to lay off of Carly. You had no trouble staying out of my life the last couple of years. Do me a favor… keep it that way," Jack shouts in anger.

Back and Margo and Tom's, Margo goes over to get some of her mad money. "Hey, it's gone," she says. Tom asks when she last seen it. She says before she took him to the hospital. He asks if anyone else has been there. They mention Jade, but Adam says he knows she didn't do it. Katie and Mike arrive. Casey says he hates to break up the party, but he needs to get back and study.

Outside the Hughes, Adam asks Casey if he took their mom's mad money. He says he wouldn't do something like that, and he doesn't care if he believes him or not! Maddie comes out to ask if he's ready to go. They leave.

Back at the hospital, Craig asks Meg if she's okay. She says no. She goes on to say if she hadn't been so distracted, she could have prevented this. He offers to take her somewhere quite to chat. She doesn't answer. He says he'll save them both the embarrassment of rejection by taking her silence as a no. "Thank you," she smiles. "Not swayed by my courtly manner?" he asks. She shakes her head no. Before leaving, he tells her to do something nice for herself today. She asks what dulls his pain. "Still workin on that," he answers.

Later on, Tom and Mike chat in the kitchen. Meanwhile, in the living room, Margo hugs Katie thanking her for her help. She says she couldn't have gotten through this without out her. When she asks how things are with her and Mike, Katie says everything great, however, she's concerned because he doesn't want to talk about having a family. Margo reminds her that the last time they started talking about a family Simon showed up and things got a little "creepy." She says they're past that now. "Well, you're past it, but maybe Mike needs to know that he comes first now," she expresses.

As Mike and Tom join the women in the living room, Katie announces that they will be throwing Tom a welcome home party. After her announcement, her and Mike leave so she can get started planning the party.

Outside Tom and Margo's, Katie tells Mike she's going to start concentrating on them. "Really, you mean that." "Yeah, we don't need to get started on a family until we have each other," she replies with a kiss.

Outside the farm, Vienna thanks Jack for letting her stay. She asks about the pink blanket on the bed. He says it's where Sage will be sleeping. She says she thought it was Mike's bed, and he says Mike has gone back to Katie.

Later, She says the people staying at the Snyder farm are very friendly. He says he doesn't care for her staying there as long as she doesn't make more work. She says she won't. When she says she's going to go for a walk, he offers her his coat. "Man you may be down, but you are definitely not out of the game," Brad says as he comes outside.

Back at the cabin, after Parker leaves, Paul throws Meg's picture back into the fireplace. As soon as he does, he has another vision! After his vision, he falls onto the bench and begins to cry. As he reaches for something by the fireplace, he cuts his hand, and then has another vision. He sees the hospital then hears screaming. There's a lot of blood!

At Java, Maddie asks Casey what the deal is with him and Adam. He says nothing, but she says something is going on between the two of them. He says he's just on to him about his grades. He shocks her when he pulls his laptop out to do his homework there. After she leaves, he gets on the poker site. "Just one hand. I swear," he says to himself.

Before Meg can leave the hospital, Bob catches her. He says he heard she's taking the rest of the day off, but he asks if she'd reconsider. He says Simmons called in with the flu. "Oh, he's running the blood drive," she replies. He confirms, adding that it's about to start and he doesn't have a replacement.

"Yeah, I'll do it," she sighs.
    "Are you sure?" he inquires.
"Yeah. Yeah. It'll… uh… it'll take my mind off things."
"Great! There's about a dozen donors ready to go and all prepped."
    "Okay, I'll get to work."
    "I really appreciate it."
"Yeah, so do I. This may be what I really need."

Next on As the World Turns…

Craig tells Emily if she keeps it up he'll make sure she really pays!

Paul goes to the hospital to tell Bob there is real danger there. Meg comes out and says, "I can't believe you're doing this again. It's sick!"

Will notifies Adam that there's no more money, and Gwen is shocked when she hears Adam say the project's dead!

Jade informs Casey that Barbara is lending Will and Gwen $10,000 to finish the demo.

Was it just me but do Jack and Vienna have chemsitry together. Maybe she and Jack can have a little fun until Carly gets back. I would love to see the look on Carly face.

I think Vienna and Jack could be fun. Maybe she could get him to cut loose a little, then he and Carly could have it all. Writers need to do something to liven this show up a little. There are 3 postings, including mine. Look at GL. I think that says something.

Have to agree that the writers need to get cracking on some good story lines and do it soon. ATWT is getting BORING! It seems to be the same all over again. The new Craig is as stiff as a board and doesn't seem the least bit interested in his character - just reciting his lines. In fact, the last few months it seems the whole cast is going through the motions. That can do nothing but hurt them with viewers. So wake up writers, but I don't think they even listen to the public.

Why is Jack staying at the farm anyway?? Carley is out of town, so why not have the kids in a familiar place???

Yes I do think Jack and Vienna have that certain chemistry!! It would do Carly well if Jack would go on with his life. We all know that Carly will come back and I'm sure she'll get out of having to spend time in jail. She always does. I mean how many people can do what Carly did to Gwen and not get jail time? It wouldn't matter if Gwen pressed charges or not; you automatically get jail time when you have the intentions of hurting someone!! Carly get ready for some real competition because I'm sure Jack with his looks are going to stay idle!!

Where did Jack brother come from? I know he was there before but where has he been all these years and didn't he have a thing for Carly one time. He is acting really nasty about her. Jack and Vienna wouldn't be a bad match until Carly comes back. But I would have rather Vienna get with Henry. Katie does not deserve Mike. Why did he go back to her??? Meg needs to forgive Paul and get married because I just read that the actress that once played Rosanna is done with the other soap she was on and if us Rosanna fans pray really hard maybe she will be back on ATWT. if that happens Paul will forget Meg ever existed.

I really wish they would give Gwen a different hair style, it's not flattering to her at all and it kind of looks like a Mullet! YUK!
