I thought it was bittersweet and fitting that Bob started and ended the show. I was also glad to see some of the older veterans on the last episode.

I feel nothing but resentment for Chris and his waiting so long to get treatment. If that’s the kind of care he gives patients, I wouldn’t want anybody near him. He really makes me want to hurl.

    Poor Luke, my heart breaks.

    …..and on a different note….

A sad day of mourning for this historic soap and a travesty considering what it’s being replaced with. You can thank the downfall of soaps to the lack of great writing skills, network bigwigs and them not listening to its fanbase. I’m a sporadic watcher due to the fact that I’ve been less than impressed with some of the storylines. I mean there’s only so much a person can take of breaking up and making up of the same marriage before you want to run screaming from the room. To those of us who cared about the romance between Luke & Reid they live on at, the quality of fan fiction found there is awesome, they need to get hired on the soaps. I would watch these stories as webisodes, now if only ESS & VH were available.
With the exception of my comments last Tuesday and my rant last Wednesday, I’m usually an observer to these postings because I usually agree to someone else’s comment. I have to say that reading the various comments on this site is like a soap opera in itself. May peace, love and tolerance be with you.

i can not believe after all these years that this show will not be ion anymore! another talk show what is wrong with cbs i for one will not be watching cbs again!! its an end of an era so sad!! did p&g take a vote from the people who loved the show? cbs you should be ashamed of yourself i hope the show you put on falls flat on its face!!!

I had said in the past that if P&G could do "Family movie Night" with Walmart for NBC that they should had tried to move "As the World Turns" and "Guiding Light" to NBC or try to put these shows into syndication meaning that any network affiliate could air them It was a very bittersweet "World Turns" today but the televison networks run this like a business and the shows that air on tv are like products and if a product does'nt sell it dies R.I.P. As the World Turns.

such a sad day for us!! thank you as the world turns for the 20 years of romance drama and excitement you've given me. todays show was great!! luke listening to reids heart beating had me bawling. so glad we at least got a little glimpse of susan and lisa. i was hoping to see more of the snyders during these last weeks besides holden. emma and her family was just a big a part of the show. the spinning globe was a fitting end to the show. i wanted to hear bob or kim say those same words his mother said all those years ago but instead of goodmorning dear say good night dear. goodnight oakdale i will miss you dearly.

Today was a "holiday" for me and ATWT. I missed the show for most of this week. There's so much I could say (good and bad) but like the rest of you, it's been a sad day to see this last episode. Bob Hughes did SO well in narrating this final piece and dimmed the lights. No other way to end it.

What ever became of Emma Snyder? Why wasn't she in the last episode? She's been in this soap for a long time? I thought James Stenbeck was going to come back. I'm going to miss this soap. Good Luck to all the cast members!

Today's show was so sad. It was sad to watch Luke listening to Reid's heart in Chris's chest. I hate the way the storyline ended with Reid dying, Noah leaving for Calfornia alone and Luke left alone in Oakdale.

I am sorry to see the show go off the air. It is going to be strange not seeing the updates and reading the post. I will be spending a lot of time on Luke and Reid's website. I will also be keeping the ending storyline that North of the Boarder started.........Luke wakes up and sees his beloved Reid in the shower alive and well. They get married and live happly ever after.

    Goodnight and sweet dreams.

Tears! Tears! and more Tears! During this last week, I have cried and cried. I have been an honest fan for 30 years, just like with Guiding Light, Y&R, and B&B which is only 23 with that one, but anyhoot I am so heartbroken. Today was a great show why couldnt the writers come up with this stuff before all of this had to happen. The scenes were wonderful. I loved knowing that Carly and Jack finally made it and watching Lucinda with John was great. Actually all of it today was the best. I could only imagine how hard it must of been for Bob to do the last scene. He was wonderful. This has been his life and family for 50 years and now what? Just like with us now what? ATWT has effected our lives. To us ATWT was like family. We brought them in our homes everyday, now CBS takes them away. CBS you should be ashamed of yourselves. I will not watch your talk show, just like I dont watch Lets make a deal.
Some of you I will see on the other soap opera post. It has been great reading your comments, just the bickering over who likes who and which S/L's.
ATWT you will be deeply missed. We all wish you the best of luck. Goodnight

I have not seen the last show yet as I had to record it. But if it is like the others the past few days I better have kleenex handy. I am sad to see the series go after watching since 1974. But here in Hawaii we never say goodbye we always say A hui hou (Until we meet again) so for me it is A Hui Hou Oakdale.
