wow. hard day. great ending to anamazing run. I'm going to miss those familiar voices in my livingroom. 49 years hearing Bob and Lisa. John Dixon. I remember when Kim came on the show. I remember Meg Ryan a young little Betsey Stewart - best buds with Emily as little girls. wow. I was a little girl, just like them. I loved Susan. She was my favorite for years. My mom and I used to watch together before she died. kinda like saying goodbye to her again, too. sad day. I'll miss you oakdale! And I don't care what anybody says, the original Dusty was THE CUTEST GUY ON THE SHOW!

I’ll miss Memorial hospital, The Lakeview, Fairwinds, The Oakdale police department, Carly and Jack’s house, Tom and Magos’s, Java, Al’s dinner, Metro, WOAK, Fashions, Lily and Holden’s, the Snyder farm, and the pond. But most of all I will miss the characters that filled these places.
I was first introduced to the show in the hospital right after I was born. Now 36 years later I have to say goodbye, but I don’t know how. We grew up together. You made me cry, laugh, scream and throw stuff at my television and all I can say is, thanks! It’s been a blast, an adventure and a rollercoaster ride. Oakdale is like a second home to me. My top five favorite things about living in Oakdale:

1.No matter how hard you try to keep them, your secrets always come out.
2.No one gives birth at the hospital.
3.Thereis a 70% chance your baby will be switched at birth.
4.There is an 80% chance your fiancé will sleep with someone you hate the night before your wedding.
5.If your loved one is missing they either have amnesia or they’re being held captive by a lunatic.

LOL I will miss those crazy times. I will always remember them and keep my As The World Turns family close to my heart.

Mom of 6...wonderful post...loved your list of favorites!! Too funny! I was so happy that Lisa and Susan appeared in this last show...I do wish they had given Meg and Emma the same chance. I thought I would croak when Margo hung that hideous chair picture over Katie's old mantle. What a hoot. I expect I'll see it some day at a yard sale along with the giant wooden fork and spoon from Buzz's diner in Springfeild.

What happened to Holden and Lily? I thought they got back together before show ended? I was confused about that ending..

Well, I don't know who wouldn't cry watching today.
I am going to close my eyes and make up my own last show.
Reid and Luke move in together,
Bob wakes from a dream and Kim has a different hair style for the first time in 40 years, and he eyes are wide open, not half shut.
Brad is still alive and happy with Katie and the baby.
Carley and Jack, still happy, ditto with Janet and Dusty.
Faith did alot of growing up and is with Parker.
Lisa finds a new man and is the happiest she has ever been.
Henry and Barbara, Paul and Emily...status quo...
    I guess that is it.
I did notice today that Lisa has bad rhumetoid arthritus in her hands. I will pray for that actress...my own Mom suffered with that for over 20 years. God Bless her.
I was surprized that Emma Snyder and looney tune daughter were not brought in at all. ???
It has been great fellow posters, and I hope they leave this board up so we can all still meet and talk about the show. It won't be forgotten anytime soon! Good Night All.

I wish Meg Ryan had come back for the last episode. It's so sad that there were only 2 pages of comments. AND it's very sad that I am so sad over the loss of a TV show. I guess it's my age. Goodbye and goodnight everyone!

I really haven't posted much about ATWT,but I have read all the postings just about everyday by other true lovers of our favorite small town.I have grown up watching this show since the earley 70's,I use to watch it every day in the summer when I stayed with my Great Grandmother,I watched it with my mom when she and my dad went through there divorce, and she didn't want to get out of bed,I watched after I got older, just because I loved it so...I cried during most of this show today,as I looked at the picther of my Great G-maw,above the t.v,and I too felt like it was saying goodbye to her again also...Oakdale was my other hometown that I could forget my troubles for an hour a day,and watch other families go through worse than I had,and get through it! I will miss my other family, and I shall say goodnite to all the other fans of our beloved show..

I haven't watched As the World Turns in years so I may have missed out on some deaths. I wanted to see the last show and I would have loved to see Steve & Bettsie (Meg Ryan), Frannie or Sabrina Hughes (Julianne Moore), Jessica Griffin (Tamara Tunie), Margo's mom Lyla and her husband Casey and Emma Synder.

Good Bye As the World Turns....
