Misti: Your role as Adam on As the World Turns was short-lived, can you tell your fans why you're leaving the show so soon?
Matthew: I was originally contracted short term on the show, and then they decided they wanted the character to keep going and asked me to stay, unfortunately, I had conflicts with other projects that I'm involved with.
Misti: What are your plans after you leave As the World Turns? Do you have any other television appearances lined up?
Matthew: I'm working on a couple of workshops of upcoming Broadway shows, and also shooting a film starring Steve Carell. I'm in a film called "Music and Lyrics By," coming out this Christmas, starring Hugh Grant and Drew Berrymore.
Misti: Do you have any plans for future appearances on As the World Turns?
Matthew: Not at the moment, but if I was free, and they asked, I would love to do it again. I loved working with the people on that show. We became friends in the short amount of time that I was there.
Misti: Many fans believe there is a relationship in the works for Adam and Jade, would you care to elaborate on that?
Matthew: I think that the anticipation is more fun!!!! Sorry!!!
Misti: No need for an apology. It will just keep us guessing. *Smiles*
Misti: Who has been the funniest co-worker on the set and why?
Matthew: Well, Zach (Casey) is a big goof-ball, love that guy. Also, Jen (Gwen) and Jesse (Will) and I would sit around and crack jokes.
Misti: Since you've been on the soap, have you had any bloopers, and do you care to share your funniest blooper moment with your fans?
Matthew: One day I came in and had three scenes given to me that I'd never seen before. I was frustrated, but other people seemed to be having some fun watching me mess up every other line! I think we wasted so much tape on me that day. (Laughter from Misti)
Misti: What did you do before you became an actor?
Matthew: I've been acting and singing since I was in 5th grade. I've been very lucky to always be able to support myself acting. Actually, while I was studying at NYU, I had a job at the GAP.
Misti: What do you think you would be doing now if you weren't an actor?
Matthew: If I weren't an actor, I would be an OB/GYN. My father is a midwife, and I've always been fascinated with child birth. Being able to help someone bring a life into the world is incredible. I've actually helped deliver two babies!
Misti: Would you like to leave a farewell message for your fans?
Matthew: Thanks for all of the positive feedback that I've gotten. Hope it was as fun for you as it was for me!

To Matthew's publicist, Scott: Thank you for making this interview possible! Your time was appreciated as well!
