You remember Jake Silbermann as Noah Mayer on the now defunct Daytime soap opera, "As The World Turns." His character’s romance with Luke Snyder (Van Hansis) was highlighted during his time with the show, which aired some steamy kisses that turned the heat up on the screen.
Since "As The World Turns" ended, Jake's been very busy. In January of 2010, Soaps.com reported that the actor had a new project on the horizon called Stuffer. The actor, now turned writer, wrote the script and played a part himself in this story about an officer returning home from the front lines of Afghanistan only to get drawn into a life of drug smuggling in order to care for her family and stay clear of foreclosure on their home. Since our first post regarding the short film, it has made its debut and was accepted into the LA Latino Film Festival recently, which runs from July 17-25. Fans may be able to make opening night at the famous Chinese Mann Theater. For more on the festival and the screening dates, please peruse the Latino Film Festival site.
If seeing Jake in the film isn’t enough for you, Silbermann is also attending the "Derby Day" fundraiser event, in order to raise money for a production of "Derby Day," by Samuel Brett Williams, a dark comedy based on the Ballard brothers who, after their father passes away, "destroy everything and everyone in their way – drinking, cursing, and revealing family secrets that might just tear them apart forever." If the synopsis catches your eye, you can attend the fundraiser June 11 at 8.00 PM in New York.
