    Carly is at Metro waiting for someone. She decides to leave. Before she does, she shows Teri some sketches and says that Liberty helped with them.

    Janet goes to the hospital to have her blood tested. She finds that Dusty is also there being tested. Janet worries about passing out when she gives blood. He offers to stay and comfort her. The nurse comes in and draws blood while Dusty makes faces. Teri soon arrives. Janet thanks Dusty and he walks out. Her sister begins questioning her and demands to know if she slept with their boss. Janet tries to cover but Teri is sure that she has feelings for him.

    At Metro, Dusty calls to make sure that Liberty got to her appointment. Teri asks him why he didn't take them himself. They discuss what he's done with Janet and she hints he feels more for her than he's letting on. She begins dragging a bag of flour across the room. He tries to pick it up and it splits, covering him with flour. As she dusts him off, Lucinda walks in. "I won't even ask what's going on here," she says. After Teri makes herself scarce, Lucinda teases Dusty about his 'girlfriend'. He insists that she's just a kid. Lucinda keeps mocking him lewdly while Teri listens. Lucinda asks for an investigator's number and then leaves. Teri returns and confronts him for calling her a 'kid' and points out that she is a woman. He tells her that he respects her and she is his employee. She confronts him about Janet and accuses him of being in love with her. He says she's beautiful and she'll find someone who deserves her.

    At Metro, Dusty tells Teri that she should talk to her sister. He breaks the news that Liberty has leukemia. She's shocked and wonders why Dusty knows all about this. She hopes that Janet has been talking to Jack. "A lot of marriages fall apart," Dusty says. Teri thinks they'll get back together as long as no one gets in the way.

    Janet arrives at Metro. Dusty suggests that she talk to her sister. She can't do that now. He asks her if she's told Jack yet. Janet can't do that yet; talking about it will make it feel too real. She asks him for a hug. He doesn't budge. She wants them to still be friends. "You should talk to your husband," he says. She'd rather talk to him. He calls Teri in to talk to her sister and then slips out. The sisters sit down and Teri offers to help. Janet can't talk about it and leaves.

    Liberty meets with her aunt and tells her that she broke the news to Parker. She's mad and scared. Even if she beats it, it will always being hanging over her. Teri tells her she'll be fine.

    Teri finds Dusty drinking in the bar. He's glum so she asks him what happened. When she probes, he refuses to open up. They go over business and he says they will give all their extra food to the food shelters. She's impressed.

    Teri goes to see her sister at the farm house. As she babbles about Dusty, Janet stops her and announces that her marriage is over. She doesn't want to talk about it though. "What's the story with you and Dusty?" Teri asks her. Janet gets defensive. Teri begins talking about how she feels about Dusty. Janet gets more upset and then goes upstairs.

    At Metro, Dusty walks in on Teri congratulating herself on how good her food is. She asks him if he is coming to the reception. He passes but he tries the food she's been cooking. They chat about his sentimentality, or lack thereof. "Things change when you grow up," he says. He calls her 'kid' and leaves to get her some basil.
