    Liberty meets her mother at the Lakeview and they toast to the young woman's health. Dusty arrives. Janet thinks he's stalking her but her daughter explains that she invited him. She leaves them alone. Dusty wishes he could change the past and fix things between them. He apologizes for his mistakes and hopes they can move on together. The nanny arrives with Johnny. He's not feeling well. He's worried that Craig might go to jail. Dusty tells him to give him the benefit of a doubt and they should all support him. After Johnny leaves, Dusty asks Janet for another chance. She thinks they should take things slow. They flirt.

    Dusty meets Janet outside her new apartment. He asks her if she needs anything. She needs some breathing room. A washer and dryer are wheeled up to them. Janet sends the delivery man off and then tells Dusty she'll be fine. She goes off to get things ready and Dusty tips the delivery man.

    Janet arrives at the station to tell Jack she's moved out. She quickly guesses that Carly has thrown him out again and beats herself up for causing more problems. He asks her to concentrate on the baby. She asks him to stay with her. Jack turns her down. She leaves and he gets a call from Janet's brother. When Jack talks about the inheritance, Eddie has no idea what he's talking about.

    Dusty and Liberty go to the hospital and discover Gabriel is in surgery. He tells Liberty what a great friend she is being and assures her that her friend will pull through. After he leaves, Janet arrives.

    Dusty meets up with Johnny and they head for the park. They bump into Janet on the way. She's looking for an apartment. He tells her his offers still stand. He tells her the latest about Craig and she thanks him for not pushing her into anything. They talk about the apartment she's going to see.

    Jack and Carly go home and make out. They tear off their clothes and jump into bed. After sex, they wish that they could stop making things so complicated. They get dressed and go downstairs to eat. Janet walks in. She informs them that she has found a place to live on the east side. Jack doesn't think she should live in that neighborhood. It may only be fifteen minutes away but that's too far for him. Parker calls and tells his mom about his run in with Craig. She tells him to hold tight and let her take care of everything. Meanwhile, Janet repeats to Jack that he has to let her go. Carly returns to the conversation as Jack continues pressuring Janet. She refuses to listen anymore and walks out. When Jack trails after her, Carly calls to check on Parker. When Jack returns, Carly tells him that everything is wrong. "I don't think this is going to work," she tells him. Carly thinks he needs to be near Janet until the baby is born. She repeats that he needs to move out. He thinks that's crazy.

    Dusty goes to see the landlord of Janet's new apartment. He's paid to have new appliances sent over. Janet catches them talking.

    Liberty walks into Al's wearing a wig and startles her mom. They chat and then she walks out the door, spotting Dusty. Liberty tells him how stubborn her mom is and how she wishes she'd let him help out. He admires her wig and then heads in to order a huge meal. Janet fills the table with food. He starts splitting it up so she can join him. They eat and he wipes food off her face. She declares break time over and pulls herself away. He smiles to himself.

    Teri goes to see his sister at Al's and tells her that their father left them all an inheritance. Janet's shocked. She really needs the money and is overjoyed that her father came through for her. As they hug, Dusty watches from the alley.

    At Carly's, Parker listens as Jack and Margo trying to figure out why anyone would attack Gabriel. They're pretty sure this is attempted murder. After Margo leaves, Jack catches his son and asks him what's wrong. Janet walks in and announces she's off to work. Jack doesn't think going to Metro is a good idea. He thinks she needs to rest. "You don't know what I need anymore," she says. He tells her she doesn't need to leave the house or worry about anything. She's sure things will only get more complicated and asks him not to stand in her way.
