    Liberty meets with her mother, Jack and Teri outside. They talk about being a family and Liberty says that her extended family seems like a bad reality show. "I hate them," she says. Aunt Marie wanders over and Liberty lashes out at her for the way she's treated her mother. Teri tries to keep the peace but Liberty tells Marie about getting knocked up and losing the baby. Teri sends Marie away and assures Liberty that they aren't as awful as they seem. Liberty tells Teri that she feels pressured by Parker and doesn't know what to do because he's been so great. They get called in to eat. Liberty sits alone for a minute.

    Jack and Janet walk the streets of her old neighborhood. He tells her what a good job she did with her daughter. It was hard for Janet to learn to like herself because of her parents. When Jack fell in love with her, she learned to love herself again. They agree that they are each the best people they know. She wanders away for a walk on her own. He calls Carly to check in and tells her how much he misses her. Janet returns. They can hear her family yelling for her.

    At the station, Carly walks in on Janet as she sobs to Jack. Carly pays her condolences. Janet wants her to back off and leave them alone. Jack tells Carly to go.

    Teri runs into Dusty at Metro. She's missed him. He's drinking and guesses she doesn't know the latest. They sit down and he explains what happened. Janet and Jack arrive. Teri runs into her sister's arms. They cry and decide to tell their mother together. When the women leave, Dusty accuses Jack of using this as his last chance to make up for his failings. "You always come up short and I have to pick up the pieces," Dusty says, reminding him that he divorced Janet. When he tells Jack to leave her alone, Janet returns and says she doesn't want that. Dusty leaves. Teri doesn't understand why they're letting Jack stay involved and says she wants him gone. Janet gives in and sends him away, thanking him for his help. Alone, the sisters discuss everything they think they missed out on with their father. Janet blames herself for his death. Liberty arrives and hugs her mom. She tells her that she's finished her chemo and then Teri calls her mom with the bad news. When Janet leaves to get ready, the other Ciccone women complain about Jack hanging around.

    Liberty calls Dusty over to Fashions and then sends him in to talk to her mom. He tells her that he still loves her and wants to marry her. She thinks everything has changed. They argue about what happened and he asks her to let him come to the funeral. She can't do that. When she looks at him, she sees her father.

    Carly goes home and finds Jack there. She apologizes for blowing up at Janet. He tells her that he still wants her and she should never doubt him. She hopes they can have some 'reconnection' time while Janet is busy at the funeral. He informs her that he's going with his ex. She's startled. He explains things and offers to take her along. She tells him to go without her. Janet and Liberty arrive. Janet says that they'll pack and move out when they get back. As they head out the door, Dusty arrives. Everyone leaves him alone with Janet. He hands her the stuff Rocco left at the hospital. She finds her father's St. Christopher medal. Dusty puts it around her neck. She leaves as Carly returns. She assures him that Janet will forgive him. He hopes so.

    At the hospital, Liberty and her mom are waiting for news on her chemo results when Janet suddenly gets an ominous feeling. They talk about being part of a growing family and then discuss her problems with Dusty, Liberty orders her mother to call him and work things out. She calls him and he asks her to meet him at the station. Faith and Parker arrive and Janet heads off.

    Dusty is at the station giving his statement to the cops. He goes into Jack's office and tells Jack that he didn't know how weak Rocco was. Jack blames his death on him. Janet arrives. Jack leaves them alone. Dusty explains what happened with her father. She breaks into tears and goes into denial. Jack returns to confirm things.

    Jack and Janet go down to the morgue so she can see her father. She used to wish that he was dead, but all she really wanted was for him not to be ashamed of her. Dusty walks in and asks to speak to her alone. Once Jack is gone, Janet blames Dusty for her father's death. When she walks away, he follows and tells her that her father was only trying to make amends. "I can't even look at you anymore," she says. When she returns to Jack, she cries about how much losing her father hurts.

    Carly arrives at the station. Dusty tells her that Rocco dies. She stares into Jack's office and sees him comforting Janet.
