Full detailed profile on Simon Frasier Played by Paul Leyden on As the World Turns Daytime Soap Opera.
Carly opens the door to get the morning paper. On the front cover she reads, "Suspected Jewel Thief Evades Capture." Once inside, she begins reading the piece, but stops when she notices Parker coming downstairs. She asks him to take out the trash for her. As he's taking out the trash, he notices a cop sitting in an unmarked car at the end of the driveway. Once back inside, he asks her if she knows there's a cop sitting outside, and then he asks her why they're begin watched. Before answering, she goes outside to discover that there is indeed a police car outside.
Going back inside, she begins to explain Simon being in trouble to Parker, but the phone rings. She answers to find Henry on the other end. She yells at him for what he done calling him a lousy friend and a creep. He says he's on her side, and he's trying to help her, but she hangs up on him telling him not to call her again. When Parker asks who was on the phone, she says just someone she use to do business with. He asks if she thinks Simon will show up. She says he's gone for a very long time. Henry calls back asking for a chance to explain, but she says she's hanging up. Before she can hang up, he mentions Meme (the vase that got broke at the apartment). Capturing her attention, she asks how he knew about that. He says he knows when it broke she was devastated. He goes on to say he stumbled across another vase he thought she would be interested, but he can't deliver it in person. He asks if she'll meet him at Java. He says he'll bring her a brochure so she can use it to get in contact with the manufacturer. She says she'd like that very much, because the place isn't the same without it. She asks again if he wants her to meet him at Java. He confirms, saying as quickly as possible, because it's a much sought after item and he'd hate for her to miss out. She agrees to meet with him.
After hanging up the phone, Henry informs Simon that it worked this time; she didn't hang up. Before he heads to Java to meet her, Simon asks if he has the phones. Henry confirms, handing him the phones saying he won't have to worry about rollover charges or wire-tapping.
Katie continues to tell Henry she and Mike have to be together, but he only gets annoyed with her. After saying goodnight to her, he goes into his room for a drink. While pouring his drink, Simon startles him. Henry asks him what he's doing there. Simon says he needs a place to hide out, but Henry tells him he's a fugitive and can't stay there. Simon says, "You owe me, Henry. Big time."
"Look, it was a squeeze play, all right. I had Jack on one side, Katie on the other. I had no choice," Henry explains.
"There's always a choice, Henry."
No, not this time. Okay? They forced me to trick your jeweler into giving you up!"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. That was you? You did that?"
"No, scratch that. Scratch that. Why do I owe you?"
"All right--all right, how's this? You convinced me to go after Carly when I knew d** well that she should be left alone. Now she's in this up to her neck--thanks to you."
"You're blaming me because you were foolish enough to take my advice?" he laughs.
Henry begins dialing his phone.
"Okay--whoa, what are you doing? What are you doing?" Simon questions.
"Do you believe in New Year's resolutions, Simon?"
"I do. The top of my list this year is… uh… no more breaking the law," he says breathlessly.
Soon after, someone answers the phone and Henry asks for Detective Snyder. Just as soon as he asks to speak with Detective Snyder, Simon tackles him! During their feud, Katie bangs on the door demanding Henry open up! She says she hears him and knows he's in there. Simon stops fighting with Henry, when he hears him tell the person on the other end of the phone that he has no message, and to tell Detective Snyder he'll call him back.
Later, Henry lets Katie in. She admits it's her fault she lost Mike. She says she should have slammed the door in Simon's face the day he showed up, but she didn't. She says it's her fault she lost Mike, but it's Simon's too. She says she's going to make him pay, and she knows he's still in the hotel. She goes on to say she's going to find him and turn him in. Meanwhile, Simon is hiding in the closet listening to every word.
As Henry attempts to shoe Katie out the door, she catches on asking if he's trying to get rid of her. He admits he is. "I just want to go to bed," he says. Ignoring his plea, she continues to beg for his help. She says she doesn't know why she's being so pushy, then admits she's desperate and must find Simon or she'll lose Mike. Henry says he understands, but he can't be a cheerleader right now because he's all "pom, pomed out." "I use to be able to get you to do whatever I want," she replies. "Yeah, I guess I just grew a back bone," he shoots back, escorting her to the door.
Once Katie's gone, Henry tells Simon he has to leave. Simon apologizes, but says he has to stay. Henry demands he leave, reminding him that Katie won't rest until she finds him. He says that's why he needs to stay put. Henry continues to demand he leave, but Simon refuses. "Henry, I need a favor," he continues. Henry laughs, then says, "No, not from me. I'm going to bed." Grabbing Henry by the arm, startling him, Simon says, "I need you to get a message to Carly."
As Carly and Simon lay naked in bed, she asks him to tell her again that the diamond is gone for good. He re-assures her it is gone and won't hurt them anymore. He goes on to say he's not going to lose her because of that "stupid diamond." She says she's not going to leave him again. "This is where I belong. This is where I want to be," she admits.
While getting dressed, he tells her he missed her. She replies that she missed him too, and says now that she's made up her mind not to be intimidated, she's going to go and tell Jack. When he offers to go with her, she refuses saying this is something she has to do on her own. He accepts, but says he needs her to know that he would never risk her freedom. He goes on to say if he thought Jack had a case, he would have walked away, and he wouldn't have pushed so hard. She says she's glad he pushed, but she reminds him Katie is still a problem. He says he feels sorry for Katie, because he says she had a rough holiday.
"Yeah, who didn't? I enjoyed being with my kids, but I missed you. And half the time I kept thinking, I wish Simon were here. And I was fantasizing about that trip that you wanted us to take, trading in the Christmas tree for a palm tree," she replies.
"Okay, then. So, next year, Hawaii," he says.
"All of us?"
"Yeah, all of us."
Later, Jack phones Carly telling her he just got proof from the prince that Simon did steal the necklace. Immediately, she looks at Simon and says to Jack, "The prince is here." She's caught Simon's attention. Jack continues by telling her that an arrest warrant has been issued for Simon. He tells her to be thankful she's through with Simon, because things are going to get ugly fast. Simon watches as the expression on her face turns to fear.
Once she hangs up the phone, she panics telling Simon he has to get out now because Jack has an arrest warrant for him! He says she's the one that has to leave, but she says she can't go without him. He says he'll be fine, because Jack will come up, threaten him, make a lot of ruckus, then he'll leave. She expresses that he'll take him with him, but Simon says even if he does have a warrant he has nothing to hold him on. She asks how he can be so calm. He says it's because he knows he's right. Again, he suggests she go home and wait for him to call. Reluctantly, she agrees, but asks that he promise he'll call her. He promises, and they share one last kiss before she leaves.
Guests start arriving at the New Year's Eve party. Lily greets Simon. She says she knows it's hard on him seeing Carly with Jack, but she says Kim and Bob went through a lot of trouble to put the party together, so she hopes he doesn't make a scene. He replies that he wouldn't dream of it. He goes on to say she has his solemn vow that he won't do anything Carly doesn't want him to do.
Once Jack leaves to meet Katie, Carly's phone rings. She answers to hear Simon asking her to meet him upstairs. Immediately, she heads upstairs to meet him.
Once upstairs, he pulls her inside, shuts the door, then kisses her passionately! Carly finds it hard to restrain herself, but manages to push him away. She says she came up there to tell him to back off. He asks if that's really what she wants. She says no, but she has to. As always, Simon continues to try to reassure her they have nothing to worry about. He softly kisses her neck, but she says she has to go. He asks for five more minutes. She begs him to let her go. "Oh please, please don't do this. Please, please let me go," she says breathlessly. Unable to resist, she turns around to kiss him. Immediately, they begin undressing each other.
Carly flashes back to when Simon gave her the diamond necklace. "Bye Simon," she says coming back to the present. As she turns to walk away, Simon appears. She asks what he's doing there. He says for the first time in his life he couldn't run away. Simon starts kissing on her, but she pushes him away. She says this has to be over. He says he tried to call but she didn't answer. She says she was at the farm spending Christmas with her kids. He says he loves her and knows she feels the same about him. "I do. I do," she cries, then kisses him. He says he needs her. Begging he asks her to, please not give up on them; find a way to make things work. She says it can't, but he doesn’t understand. He says she's not the kind of person that just gives up. She explains if she chooses him, she'll have to give up her children. He says they don't know that for sure. She replies they do, because Jack knows what they did -- he has the upper hand. She goes on to say the only reason she got to see her kids on Christmas was because he allowed her to. He says that's not fair, because she would never stop him from seeing his kids. She says he's not trying to stop her from seeing the kids; he's trying to stop him (Simon) from seeing them. He says the bottom line is he doesn't want her to see him. She reminds him that she and Jack are divorced. He says he can't lose her and he won't.
Faith runs up and says, "Rebecca is in the front line and I dance way better than her." Simon takes his self down to Faith's level and says all she has to do is tell him where Rebecca is and they'll have a little talk. Faith smiles saying she's only eight. He smiles back telling her he thinks he can take on an eight year old. Laughing she says he's crazy.
After Faith leaves, Carly says if she cares about them, there's only one thing he can do --leave town and never come back. He reminds her that the diamond is at the bottom of the lake now.
Faith comes back asking if Simon is going with them. Carly says no, he can't. Then she turns to Simon asking him not to make her say goodbye in front of Faith. She closes her eyes as he kisses her on the cheek then leaves. After Simon leaves, Faith tells Carly he looks sad, she suggests they ask him to come to dinner.
"No Honey, we're not going to be seeing Simon much anymore," she replies.
"Why not?" Faith inquires.
"You'll understand someday."
At the bar, Simon tells Henry to go find another bar. He says he's stuck there. Henry says his family has written him off their Christmas to-do list. Simon asks if he has a cool blonde stashed away somewhere. He says there's a blonde, but lately she's been cruel to him. Henry asks him how is "old falling in love and letting the old one go" is working out for him? Simon replies, "Not good." Henry suggests he stay and fight for Carly. They talk for a while about him fighting for Carly, and then Simon says he has to go.
Outside Lakeview, Simon stares down at his phone. "Don't do it. No matter what Henry says she's better without you," he says to himself. Turning to walk away, he sighs, turns back around, then begins to dial the phone.
